I groaned as I sat up slowly.
"Kirishima!" I exclaimed, looking to see him stood above me while supporting a crap ton of tracks.
"Are you ok, y/n?" he asked me, "you... were out for a while."
"I'm fine, are you ok?" I asked, my gaze glued to the beams on his back.
"What? I'm fine. This is nothing," he lied to me, I glared at him and pushed myself to my feet. My legs wobbled a bit and I found myself dropping to my knees again before I sighed and turned time back on my body. That'll hold me for at least seven hours if I keep myself paced enough.
"One minute," I stood up and walked over to him before placing a hand on the beams, "I'll get rid of this crap."
"Thanks," he started wincing as I started to destroy the beams. They crumbled away and disappeared from sign within only a few seconds and Kirishima dropped to his knees after that.
"They were heavy..." Kirishima complained as he moved his position to his butt and let out a sigh, "thanks for that."
"No problem," I crouched down in front of him and looked over his body, "you've got no wounds so that's good."
He flexed and let out a laugh.
"What? Me get hurt?" he grinned, "not a chance."
"Right right," I nodded with a small laugh as I stood up, "the indestructible shield of Class A."
"Exactly," he shot me thumbs up as his hardening was deactived and I looked around the area.
"Pretty impressive though," I commented as I looked up to where the tracks previously were, "they came from all the way up there and you survived such a sudden pressure and protected me. I owe you my life, Kiri, thanks for that."
"Just keep my back covered and that'll be enough," he shot back before pushing himself to his feet.
"Are you ready to start moving again?" I asked.
"Yep," he nodded, placing a hand on his shoulder and moving his arm around in a circle, "well it's clear that Shrapnel isn't here, anyway. We should just try find someone else and see if they're alright for now."
"Good idea," I nodded before looking around for the boning knife just to see it all bent up and out of shape, "well... that's not very useful anymore."
"No, seems not," he shook his head, "do you have your katana anywhere with you?"
"It's in my car," I replied, "but I don't have the luxury to leave the park just to get it."
"It's the only way you can fight to your full potential, y/n," Kirishima told me sternly, "We need to get that sword."
I let out a sigh before shaking my head.
"I can't. Getting my katana isn't my priority," I told him, instead of replying, he picked me up and threw my over his shoulder before running to the direction of the entrance of the park.
"Hey!" I shouted, "let me go, Kirishima!"
"No! I won't let you fight when you're not at your 100%!" he shouted back, "so stop squirming and go get your blade!"
What the hell?!
Midoriya's PoV
Kacchan has been in that cloud for a while. I've heard explosions... But not from him, from something else.
I can't even tell if he's OK in there because he's blind with rage, he's not going to listen to me no matter what I do.
"Seems Ground Zero is so predictable," a voice piped up from beside me.
I froze and looked out the corner of my eyes.
Shrapnel.
When did he get there? I didn't even hear or sense him...
"Say just a couple things and manipulate the lives of others close to him and bang, he's a one track mind idiot," Shrapnel shook his head before turning his gaze to me. Ice ran down my spine as I connected gazes with him.
"I wonder, are you the same?" he asked, "no...you seem like the rational type."
Why can't I move?
Why am I stuck to the spot like some kind of terrified child?
I remember this feeling... I've felt this before... Fear. I'm terrified. He's a lot stronger than he was last year. It's making me wonder about what happened to him when he met that hidden doctor of his.
He's... He's... He's so strong its giving me goosebumps. But I can't let my fear take me down.
But wait-- first I need to think. Is y/n and Kirishima dead? No. That isn't right. They won't die so easily, they work well together, they never get hurt when it's those two partnering together so I doubt they'll die no matter how strong Shrapnel has gotten. They may just be M.I.A for a while and as for Kaminari and Sero, I'm sure they're fine. They have a weird luck with avoiding anything serious, especially Kaminari. Shrapnel didn't even reach Mina and Ochaco so they're definitely fine.
Kacchan is just angry.
My top priority is getting Kacchan calm or who knows what'll happen.
"Tick tock, green top," Shrapnel whispered so close to me that it sent shock waves through me, "your time is running out."
I finally managed to move and swung a punch in his direction just to see that he was gone.
"What?" I frowned, "how on earth-- he was just there! I spent too much time thinking. Stupid, Izuku! Stupid! Wait-- Kacchan!"
I turned and flicked a finger in the clouds direction, blowing it away to reveal Kacchan on his knees, he was pretty injured.
"Kacchan, listen to me," I walked over to him and began talking.
