Finding Tegan

Josh chapter 11

My options were to greet him and loose time to get away from Alex or carry on home and forget him and everything else.... I chose greet him.

I turned around To see Josh staring at me, totally ignoring his sister.

"Josh what's wrong, Lauren needs to go" Kirsty said.

Josh didn't move, he looked shocked.

I just wanted to cry. He hasn't spoke to me since the phone call and now he was there as shocked as I was.

"Oh erm.... I'm here because dad" he finally said.

"What about him?" Said Kirsty. I could see the panic in her eyes.

"He's back from his trip early because mum told him about Lauren coming here today. His car just pulled up at the house 10 minutes ago, he's looking for Lauren." He said looking up at Kirsty.

Kirsty looked terrified. She really did hate her dad and at this point so did I.

I was shaking all over and my eyes were watery.

"We have no time to waste, dad's with mum looking for you Lauren. Come on." Said Kirsty starting to walk in the other direction.

"What where are you going?" I said.

"Look now I know my dad is here I know he will kill Tegan, this is are chance to get her but we are running out of time so come on."

I was scared. I hadn't planned on stealing Tegan back.

Josh looked at kirsty who had started to run through the trees then he walked over to me and grabbed my hand.

"Come on we need to catch up." He said pulling me along.

I felt funny inside, I remember the first time he grabbed my hand.

We were a official couple in year 6 and holding hands was like kissing back then. His friends dared him to hold my hand infront of everyone, so he did and just to prove he liked me he hugged me too.

It was the talk of the school for months.

My legs were aching from all this running I'd done all day. I started slowing down. "Don't slow down Lauren its only up here." Josh said.

I ignored him. I didn't care what he said.

I saw a house up ahead. I felt so sick.

It was weird to think in there was my sister and I was trusting my ex boyfriend and his sister to get her out.

"Inside quick" kirsty said opening the door for me.

I walked in to be greeted by a homely house with family pictures everywhere.

One picture was Kirsty giving Josh a piggy back when they were little. Kirsty had short light black hair back then and Josh just looked adorable.

We passed the lounge, then the kitchen until we reached a old looking door.

"She's in the cellar" Josh said pushing the door.

Before I could walk in Kirsty screamed. My mouth was covered by a hand and I was lifted on a hard shoulder.

I saw a large man with big muscles, breathing heavily.

I tried hitting him to put me down but he just held me tighter.

He took me down to the cellar with me still trying to get him away from me.

I manage to kick him hard in the back but he threw me on to the ground.

I heard Kirsty and Josh crying from the stairs of the cellar but a skinny lady with dark hair who I'm assuming is Alex took them away.

He no longer had his hand on my mouth so I screamed and screamed hoping somebody could help me. Unfortunately nobody came.

He picked me up a threw me into the corner and left me there, tears streaming down my face and bleeding knees from when I smacked them on the cold congret floor.

It was a stupid idea coming here, Andrew looked terrifying and he almost killed his daughter so what's stopping him doing it to me.
