They have been there for each other before either had any type of fame. Their relationship used to be beautiful, literal goals, but fame started to get to Bryce and he began getting toxic. Delilah realized that and broke up with him, and if that was not enough she also drops a very shady song about the breakup, but it doesn't end there.
