I got out of bed and went and did my morning routine which consists of brushing my teeth, doing my hair and make up and then changing clothes. I didn't have anything to do today so I was planning on maybe texting Dixie or something but I got a message before I could.

Twenty minutes later, since my apartment isn't that far from the Starbucks, I grabbed my house keys and phone then left.
Once I got there I saw Bryce already sitting on a bench right outside of Starbucks. I smiled at him then went up to the bench and sat down. "Hey" he said "hi" I looked at him and saw he was looking down to his lap and playing with his fingers, clearly nervous so I sighed, laid my head on his shoulder and grabbed one of his hands, holding it in mine.
We stayed like that in silence for about two minutes, until he broke it. "Do you want to grab something to drink and then talk?" I nodded and said "sure".
We got up, still holding hands and went inside.
After getting coffee we decided to walk around city hall while talking, so we did exactly that.
We were walking around holding hands talking about random stuff, about our friends and more, until he said "I do want to eventually get back together, but I want to take it slow, because I miss you and I don't want to loose you again, but what do you want?".
"Bryce I miss you too, you know that, but I just don't know if I want to be in a relationship with you again after last time" I answered.
"Yeah but please, we can take it slow, be friends and if after that you still feel the same way I'll stop pushing and we'll stay friends".
"Okay fine, let's do that".
"Yeah?" He asked smiling.
"Yeah" I answered, also smiling.
We walked around a little more and inevitably, Fletcher, the Hollywood Fix guy, came up to us.
"Hey, what's up Bryce? What's up Delilah? How's it going?"
"Hey, I'm good" I said while still walking and Bryce just nodded.
"That's good. Well for how long have you guys been back together?" I laughed and shook my head.
"We're actually not together" Bryce said, giving Fletcher a tight smile, since he doesn't exactly love paps.
"Really? Well then what's with all the flirting in the comments and the hand holding?"
"Uh, we're just friends Fletcher" I smiled slightly at him.
"Okay okay, well Delilah you released a song recently about Bryce, correct?"
"Stream Shout Out To My Ex" Bryce shouted, making me laugh.
"Yeah, but it was written in the heat of the moment, I'm actually releasing the music video tomorrow".
"Okay, so the things said there are not true?"
"Uh I wouldn't say they aren't true, but I did write the song while I was still angry".
"Oh alright, I have also seen a lot of people criticizing you and other tiktokers for releasing music".
"Well let's start by saying I'm not a tiktoker, and I've been into music since I was really young and I've been writing songs since I was thirteen, so I don't know why people get so defensive, it's kind of like gate-keeping music and if you truly love and understand music you understand that it's something universal and that should be accepting of all, it's kind of like healing and I think almost everyone loves music because it truly is something beautiful and something that you can share with others, that's the best part of it, so I don't understand the need to say who can and who can't release music that much".
"That's a great answer actually, well I'll let you continue with your date or whatever you guys have going on".
"Bye have a great day!" I said and Bryce and I smiled at him while he left.
