"Aspens been what?" Hermione asked grabbing the strange letter from my hands, trying to inspect it closer. 

"Beats me" I just shrugged it off and shoved the last piece of my hash brown into my mouth. The letter made its way around the three of them, each of them sharing a matching expression. 

"How are you so relaxed about this? You have to tell Dumbledore" the sound of his name made all my hair stand up, I couldn't get over how familiar he seemed and I didn't want any close encounters with that man until I could come it over in my head.

"Honestly Mione it's not that big of a deal, I always get weird letters sent to me cause of Quidditch" I gave her a reassuring smile "I appreciate the worry but it's really nothing out of the ordinary, so" I snatched the letter back, folding it and tucking it into my robes "I suggest we get to class." I was met with looks of resentment 

"But Athena-"

"Harry, it's fine. If it turns out to be something weird I'll let you know right away okay?" He simply huffed and gave a small fine. I smiled at them as we all began to make our way to the first class of the day. I felt the nerves build up in me as I felt everyone's eyes on me while walking to the greenhouses as if they didn't get a good enough look last night at the ceremony never the less I kept my head high and took in the sodden vegetable patch as we finally entered greenhouse 3. A short, plump woman looked right at me when I walked in 

"Ah, Mrs.Grey" she waved me over as she was getting the last few things ready for class. I made my way towards the front of the greenhouse to see her pulling out extra pairs of gloves "lovely to finally meet you, I'm Professor Sprout your new Herbology professor. I wrote and spoke briefly to your last professor over at your old school" I grimaced, Professor Simmons had to be one of the worst teachers I have ever had and I could only assume he had nothing good to say. "He told me you were quite the student and had a great gift for herbology so I will be expecting a lot from you, nothing to fear if you're anything like your mother you'll do just fine." she smiled.

"You taught my mother?" I returned the smile, I had completely forgotten that she was a student here. 

"Oh yes, she was the best in our house! Shame I didn't get you, I would've liked to have had you in my house along with the rest of your family" I scratched the back of my head awkwardly and let out a nervous laugh 

"right" she then started to shoo me away 

"Alright that's enough chit chat, time for class" as I was able to go back to the trio she began to pull out the ugliest plants I've ever seen. They were thick, black, sluggish things coming out of the soil, each contained something that looked like it was filled with liquid "They need squeezing, then you'll collect the pus" 

"The what?" Seamus asked, sounding revolted 

"Pus, Finnaginn, pus and it's extremely valuable so don't waste it." After she finished explaining what we needed to do I put on my gloves and began to squeeze the pus out of these things, it was disgusting, slimy liquid came out and Hermione quickly put it in the bottles making a disgusted face.

"What an amazing first class" Hermione laughed while putting the bottle down

"Welcome to Hogwarts, we squeeze weird liquid out of creatures to help with acne so no one curses off their own nose" I let out a snort as a loud bell rang across the castle, and I was assuming that marked the end of class. I excitedly put away the bottles and rushed over to Harry and Ron,

"Well someone's excited now aren't they?" Ron snickered as we all made our way out of the greenhouse and down the swooping lawn over to Hagrids. 

"I love care of magical creatures it's one of my favourite classes" I was met by all smiling faces

"Then let's not be late"
