Chapter 7: Moving

Hailey's POV

It's been a few years after the encounter with the Volturi. Life was going good. Renesmee and I had grown quite a bit and weren't sure if we were gonna keep growing. Her and I looked about 16 or 17.

The family decided that it would be best if we moved away from Forks for a while because none of them have aged and people would be noticing soon if they hadn't already. I was a little skeptical at first because I loved this place and I was really going to miss it. There would be people I'd miss, like the pack. I've gotten really close to the pack because I was close friends with Jake and they were like a second family to me.

Renesmee on the other hand was rather excited about the news of moving. I could see why. She wasn't close to the pack or anyone else here besides the family. We haven't gone to school at all because Mom and dad taught us things. Renesmee was thrilled at the thought of somewhere new and people to meet. Grandpa Carlisle said that we were gonna be going to school when we move. I was excited about that part. I've always wanted a regular teenage experience that involved school and human friends. The only one person who wasn't liking the idea was Jake. He was very upset when I first told him that we were moving. I knew he loved me and we were very close, but I didn't think he'd have a complete breakdown. I hated seeing him so upset so I asked mom and dad if he could come with us. They said yes because they knew we were too close with the imprint bond. He was like a big brother to me and a best friend. I couldn't imagine my life without Jake.

Dad and mom said that we'd be leaving in a couple days so we had to start packing today.

I went to my room and got out my suitcases from my closet. After a while of packing, Renesmee came in my room and jumped on my bed.

"Hey Hailey, mom said that we need to be done packing by tomorrow because we're leaving the next day." "Ok" I said. She stayed for a bit and we talked about how our lives were gonna be at the new place. We were still staying in Washington, because it was a cloudy state and we couldn't risk being in much sunlight or otherwise people would become suspicious.

Renesmee left later on and I finished packing. It was almost dinner time so we'd head to the main house because Grandma Esme was cooking for us tonight.

When we got there, Aunt Rose gave me a hug and Uncle Emmet picked me up and spun around while giving me a big bear hug. I chuckled and he went back to watching his football game with Uncle Jasper. Renesmee and I headed to the chicken for dinner while mom and dad talked to the others. They were discussing our new life and our living and school arrangements. They decided that it would just be Renesmee and I attending school.

Grandma Esme smiled at us and handed our plates to us. She made us Mac and cheese which was my favorite. We talked while eating and Grandma Esme seemed happy with moving. I knew she loved it here, but still excited to move and see new places. Grandpa Carlisle was in his office working on some last things for work until he was gone and setting up our new house. Mom and dad had already enrolled us on a school called Beverly East High School. It seemed like a nice school for us to go to. They went over the rules we had to follow such as no vampire abilities or using our gifts. Well me particularly because of my telekinesis. I was getting better at it and controlling it.

After we were done eating, I took our plates and put them in the dishwasher before heading into the living room with Uncle Emmet  who was focused on the football game plastered on the TV. Aunt Rose was sitting there already and smiled up at me. She quickly made room and I sat between them. Renesmee went over to Aunt Alice where they probably were talking about fashion and all the new trends. Aunt Rose was bored so she began to braid my hair and made it pretty. I loved it when she played with my hair, mostly because I never did anything with it besides when  throwing it into a ponytail or messy bun. After she was done, I decided to take a little walk in the woods. I got up and grabbed my coat and walked to the door. Dad stopped me and said "Where are you going Hailey?" I responded," I'm just gonna go in a little walk. I'll be back before it gets dark, I promise." He hesitantly nodded and gave me a kiss on the forehead before I left.
