I stood with my mouth hanging open, at a loss for words.
Helena put a hand on my shoulder,
"...come on, let's find Simmons."
I shook my head slowly but Helena was already trying to pull me down the hallway.
"Leon, (Y/N), Helena-"
I sighed but didnt correct Hunnigan,
"If sherry's Intel is on the money, Simmons should be just up ahead. Be careful. Hunnigan out."
And then the coms switched off.
I pushed open a door with shaky hand,
"Leon you sure you're ok-"
"...yeah..."
I said interrupting helena before she could say more.
"...you dont regret not following them do you?"
"...we'll have to worry about (Y/N) later..."
"I meant ada..."
I didnt reply to that, just kept going.
We pushed open a big door into a warehouse, the cost looked clear until Helena aimed her gun up and yelled,
"Simmons!"
I turned to see Simmons and his men all standing on a higher platform, guns in hand.
"Well, this is unexpected."
He said,
I heard the door open behind me but didnt move,
"No! Wait!"
It was sherry
"Ah, agent birkin."
Simmons purred as Jake and Sherry ran infront of us.
"Impeccable timing. Kindly take these two into custody, wont you?"
"They said you were involved in the terrorist attack! Is it true?"
Sherry yelled back at him,
"What, are they running down the streets, screaming it to anyone who'll listen?"
Simmons said, clearly annoyed.
"Anwser me!"
Sherry yelled again,
"Its for the benefit of the United states- and global security!",
Simmons said,
"Cant see how killing the 0resident is good for the country!"
