"Here, get dressed" The young mortal placed a bag of clothing in Hoseok's lap.

Sitting in stunned silence Hoseok's gaze darted to the reflective surface at the front of the vehicle and where he made eye contact with the driver. An odd feeling, he had not experienced before began to fill him. A mixture of reluctance and embarrassment.

"Don't be shy, I won't look at you. Neither will the driver-" Hoseok watched as the young mortal leaned forward in their seat burning holes into the side of the driver's head "Will you sir?"

"I won't!" They replied flustered.

The driver tilted their rearview mirror slightly so that they were looking toward the young mortal at Hoseok's side. Never taking his eyes away from the driver Hoseok began to undress in the back seat of the moving taxi.

The healer uniform was a little difficult to remove and he quickly became conscious of the transparent windows all around him. Once he'd removed the shirt, he slid the soft cotton that had been given to him quickly over his head. It had a pleasant, comforting scent, though it obviously did not belong to the young mortal beside him.

Gripping the waistband of the pants he wore he peeked across at the mortal and noticed a slight flush on their cheeks. Their eyes did not turn to him but remained fixed on the head of the driver who seemed to be visibly starting to sweat from the weight of the young one's gaze. Hoseok finished changing quickly and slid into the arms of the jacket he had been given.

"Whose clothes are these?" He asked.

"My roommate's –" They replied "- He's a grumpy guy, but I love him. He's my best friend."

Hoseok felt his heart warm at the fondness he heard in their voice and hoped he'd get to meet the man one day.

"We'll get out now thank you!" The mortal told the driver "Good job for not gawking at my friend."

The driver reddened at their statement and immediately pulled over to the side of the road. The mortal leaned over to pay for the service before exiting the vehicle and gesturing for Hoseok to follow. He climbed out and began walking beside them as they moved away from the curb.

"Thank you" Hoseok said.

"It's no problem. I said I would help, and I intend to." They replied.

"You're very different from most of the other mortals" Hoseok told them.

"So are you. You've mentioned a lot of things in passing that have made me realize you're different. You're something special. Something out of this world." They said, slowing their walk to a leisurely pace.

Hoseok lost himself in thought for a moment. He knew he needed to find his brothers, but he was enjoying his time with this person. They were certainly perceptive, not that his otherworldliness wasn't obvious to begin with, but they understood, and he felt he could trust them.

They walked in silence for a while. Both contemplating the next step. Hoseok's eyes were drawn to the mortal. He sensed that they wanted to ask him something but were hesitating.

"What is it?" He asked them.

A small pause as they considered their words "Your past... Can you tell me about it?"

"I suppose" Hoseok nodded and stopped walking, sitting himself on a nearby surface.

Sensing their excitement Hoseok wondered if he really was as fascinating as they seemed to find him.

"My brothers and I...-" He began "- were angels once"

The mortal slid down to the floor and leaned against the wall opposite Hoseok, giving him their undivided attention.
