BENJI'S POV

I looked out to the ocean and there was a tsunami. great.

"RUN" I yelled to Jorge. I grabbed his hand and we ran to the cave we slept in last night. Going there would be our best bet for survival. Lucky for us the cave wasn't far from where we were so we got there just before it hit.

I was so scared. Of all people why us. Once we got into the cave there wasn't much we could do except sit and pray. Jorge was freaking out and I held him close to me trying to calm him down. I prayed that we were going to make it out of here alive.

The wave was so loud when it hit everything. You could hear everything falling and crumbling around us. The cave we were in luckily seemed pretty stable. A little bit of water got in but not a lot which was good.

We were in the cave for a while after the wave passed just to be safe. I wish I knew what day it was and I wish I could you my phone but it was damaged by the stupid water along with Jorge's phone. Im hoping that they will dry out and turn back on but I doubt that will happen.

Jorge was fast asleep in my arms and he looked so peaceful which made me happy. I fell asleep to and when I woke up it was raining. I went to check Jorge's wound and he had bleed through the makeshift band aid.

"shit" I mumbled to myself. I took off the wrap and looked at the wound. It was green and infected.

"oh shit" I left the cave and tried to get some rain water together so I could splash it on his wound. He was still asleep but I had to clean it somehow. I through the water on the wound and he bolted awake. He screamed and I grabbed his hand. I got more water and splashed it on there. He looked down and his eyes widened.

"WHAT THE FUCK" he screamed.

"Oh my God im going to die. Benji do you see this oh my God" he started panicking. I wrapped more of my shirt around him. He wasn't bleeding but hopefully it will prevent more bacteria getting in there.

"Its going to be ok Jorge we will be rescued soon"

"how do you know. We could die out here"

"we just have to think positive, Okay love"

"Okay" He answered. I picked him up and he got on my back. I carried him back to the beach we were at before and sat him down.

"Well all the wood is soaking wet from the stupid rain and tsunami so we cant really make a smoke signal but we can try" I gathered a lot of wood and leaves and anything that was flammable and started a fire. It didn't last long but it made a lot of smoke which was good. I mean that is the point of a smoke signal.

After I did that I found some berries. That is basically what we have been living off of for a few days. Well I did catch a fish yesterday so that's something.

We have S.O.S and HELP in the sand and a smoke signal. I don't know what else we could do except sit and wait. Hopefully someone will get us soon. I was worried about Jorge. The wound doesn't look good. I just had to think positive.

The sun was setting and I had my arms wrapped around him as we sat on the beach. It would be nice if we weren't stranded on an island with no food and no way to contact anyone.

"Are we going to be ok Benji" he asked.

"I don't know Jey" I didn't want to lie to him. I couldn't lie to him. He started crying and I tried to help him calm down.

"It's ok Jorge. It's ok. I love you so much"

"I love you to Benji"

I am terrified but I have to put on a brave face. We laid in the sand when we saw a plane. We might be saved!
