23 : a day out gone wrong

Taehyung and Jungkook were strolling around the park, admiring the beauty of almost everything that surrounds them. Jungkook out of the blue, felt the urge to hold Taehyung's hand. He hesitated a bit.

Taehyung somehow sensed it and held onto the latter's hand while smiling at him, his boxy grin at display for Jungkook. And Jungkook only.

They walked hand in hand until the older's eye caught an ice cream truck. He basically pulled Jungkook while he ran towards it.

They arrived at the ice cream truck and Taehyung ordered one strawberry one and Jungkook a plain vanilla. And honestly, Jungkook didn't have time to argue with Taehyung with the payment. He was already tired from all the sudden running.

Taehyung paid the ice cream man and gave Jungkook his ice cream with a smile. "Thanks." Jungkook breathed.

They both sat down on a bench nearby and Taehyung laid his head on the taller's shoulder while eating his ice cream. Jungkook felt his heart did a summersault when he felt those soft locks on his neck.

"Hey kook.." the younger hummed as a sign that he was listening to the older. "Have you... Have you ever thought of having someone to take care of you? Not like.. your family or anything... Like having a lover or something like that." Taehyung asks awkwardly. Not shyly, not nervously, not like he's asking for Jungkook to be his boyfriend. He just wanted to ask.

It's sad that he doesn't have feelings for the younger. But he isn't letting him to assume that he has a crush on the ravenette. He sees him as a little brother.

He loved him once. And even if he lost his memory he isn't gonna love Jungkook the same way again. Gonna look at him the same way again.

So Jungkook stiffened in his seat.

D-does he like me?? He thought.

Jungkook's mind was panicking for a second until he could only answer with a nod. Taehyung smiles and stands up. The ice cream was long gone as it was already in his cute tummy.

The latter stood up too while brushing the dirt off his pants.

"Let's go to the mall my love?" Jungkook says offering his hand to the older. Taehyung smiles with a tint of pink on his cheeks as he took Jungkook's hand in his.

"Come on Kookie. Stop staring at my hand. It will melt." Taehyung teases as they walk to the mall together. Unaware of the danger that's going to put everyone's also their life at risk.

At the Mall ⏩

"It's so nice going to the mall after a long time. No?" Jungkook nods. They were looking at some shops buying here and there.

"Oh hey, how did you managed to buy a Galaxy flip?" Jungkook asks while Taehyung types something on his phone. "Oh. I forgot. Sorry." Taehyung answers and flashes his boxy grin to the younger making his heart flutter.

"Oh look a puppy!!" Taehyung yells while grabbing Jungkook's hand and dragging him to the pet store that's only a few meters away from them.

"OMO!!! It's so cute!!" The brunet squealed as he played with the Pomeranian puppy through the glass window that's separating him and the dog.

An idea came to Jungkook's not that little brain. "Hey hyung could you cover and close your eyes for a bit?" Taehyung looks at him with confusion. "Why?" "Please? I have to do something.."

Taehyung chuckles. "Alright. Promise you wont leave me?" "Promise." He covers his eyes and heard the bell of the shop ring.

Minutes later, Jungkook came out of the shop with the dog Taehyung was playing with earlier through the glass. "You can see now." Taehyung slowly removes his hands from his face and almost dropped on the floor when he saw Jungkook with the puppy in his arms.

"J-jungkook.." "Here. It's for you." He hands the puppy to the older as it keeps on barking in happiness. Jungkook had also bought a leash and out a diaper on the dog so it won't have no. 2 anywhere they go.

Taehyung hugs the puppy. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!" Said Taehyung while he puts the puppy down, while holding the leash and kissed Jungkook's cheek. It didn't mean anything other than gratefulness and thanks. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The taller blushed. As he playfully pushes Taehyung away from him. "Puppy!!! I will call you.. Yeontan!" Taehyung says as he picks up Yeontan once again and cradles his in his arms like a baby.

Suddenly a gunshot was heard.

Jungkook immediately grabbed Taehyung and ran towards the nearest fire exit. Yeontan jumped out of Taehyung's arms and ran away.

The brunet felt the absence of a fluff ball in his arms and wiggled his way out of Jungkook's grasp. "Taehyung!" Jungkook shouts while following the brunet.

But Taehyung was too quick. He had shorter legs than Jungkook making him a little faster than him when running.

Tae made a sharp turn somewhere and another turn making Jungkook lost him. He was in the middle of choosing left or right? ( stream left and right by SVT)

Kook wings it instead and went right. But sadly, Taehyung went left. The brunet sorta lost Yeontan aswell who went the same way Jungkook went.

"Tannie!!" Taehyung yelled. "Where are you boy!?"

Jimin was in the mall buying some personal things when he saw Taehyung and Jungkook walking together while looking at some shops.

Jealousy immediately ran through his veins as he saw Taehyung covered his eyes and Jungkook going inside the pet shop. A little while later, he came out with a puppy.

His blood boiled in anger when he saw Tae kissed Jungkook's cheek. But the look in Taehyung's eyes was enough to let jimin know it was none other than a friendly peck. If that was a thing..

Then he heard the gunshot. He was about to run when he saw Taehyung and Jungkook on their way out. But stopped when Taehyung ran off to chase his dog. So the blond started running after Taehyung aswell as keeping his distance from not being seen by Jungkook.

He saw Taehyung took a turn, but Jungkook took the opposite way. Jimin took the way Taehyung went and started calling out his name.

"Taehyung!! Kim Taehyung where are you!!? Taetae!–" Jimin was cut off with a scream. A blood curdling scream that was somewhat familiar.

He followed the direction where he heard the scream but then–
