Austin's pov

Dr Smin's Dentistry

That name seems very familiar, almost like I've heard it before.

But where?

Mmm...

Flashback

The clinic has been a lot busier than usual, with another patient coming in as soon as one leaves.

Willow was sick with the flu and Liam's girlfriend was going into labour, leaving me and George the only dentists around.

Not only that but this morning a gentlemen needed to have an emergency root canal, resulting me to fall behind on schedule.

George had to take on all my morning appointments which I felt really bad, considering he only started a week ago.

Luckily the remaining of my patients are only check-ups (aside from one which is a filling).

But with that being said, I've finally manage to get onto my lunch break.

I prepared myself some instant chicken noddles and sat down on a chair in the staff room.

I'm not the type to complain but I'm starving. I haven't eaten since breakfast which was seven hours ago.

"Hey Irene, did you hear?"

"Hear what?"

"Well a practice in North Carolina got shut down because apparently the staff were carrying out 'unnecessary procedures' on their patients."

"I don't understand what you mean, Holly."

"Here, have a look at this article and you'll know what I mean."

...

"What?! Filling on a five year old's tooth than pulling it out! And without anaesthesia that's insane!"

"Uh-huh. It's awful, that poor child."

"Do you really think that's real? It sounds like a creepy pasta."

"I'm not sure Irene. It could be fake news but someone would have to be very sick in the head to make this up."

End of flashback

Austin's pov

After overhearing the nurses conversation, I decided to do some research of my own.

I found the article that Holly mentioned and I was absolutely mortified at what I read.

They shouldn't of yanked out that child's tooth and instead let it fall out on it's own due to it being only milk teeth.

Another thing from the article which I found shocking was according to the child's mother, she was strapped down to the chair throughout the entire procedure.

I hope to god that isn't true.

As this practice didn't have a website (they clearly still live in the stone age), I went over to the owner's yelp page and saw that almost every review were positive along with rated five stars.

I found that very weird.

Despite the article being very descriptive and full of immense detail, there was no evidence to prove that Dr Smin did any of those things.

I read on a different website that the police did investigate the clinic and didn't find anything remotely suspicious.
