Felix has been with us for a little over a week now. He was the sweetest pup ever. He slept through the night, giving Toby the rest he needed. He wasn't fussy, and he rarely cried.

Rue and Shiloh offered to take over work for a month or two so Kalen and I could spend most of the day with Toby and Felix. It was nice being able to bond with our pup but I did miss working.

I sigh, rolling onto my back. Pulling the blankets down from my body, I glance over at the 'baby changing station'. Which was just a table with a baby cushion so Felix would be comfortable.

Kalen was in the middle of changing Felix's diaper, a clothespin over his nose. I laugh, clutching my stomach while trying to keep quiet. With our enhanced sense of smell, it was difficult for us werewolves to do things like changing diapers without feeling nauseous.

Toby was sleeping and I didn't want to wake him up yet. It was six in the morning, too early to be changing a stinky diaper if you ask me. Kalen gags, pressing the back of his hand against his mouth.

I make my way over to the makeshift changing station, sliding in next to Kalen. I take over changing his diaper, giving Kalen a much-deserved break. He rushes into the bathroom, washing his hands.

I chuckle, shaking my head as the sound of gagging reaches my ears.

"Your daddy is so silly," I coo, smiling as Felix blinks up at me. His eyes were the standard deep blue color that all newborn pups all had. I couldn't wait to see what color they'd change to.

I kiss Felix's head, making the little pup coo, grabbing onto my hair. I nuzzle his nose, pressing another kiss to his chubby cheek. I dress him in a clean onesie that had a striped design, buttoning it up.

I set Felix on the bed next to Toby, watching as he curls around the pup. I walk into the bathroom to wash my hands, rolling my eyes as I see Kalen hunched over the toilet.

"You good?" I ask.

"Yup. I'm... great," he gags again, hovering over the bowl.

"Why don't you go lay down? Felix is all changed and I put his onesie on. Go snuggle him, I'll take care of the mess."

"It's strange," Kalen says, staring up at me. "Being a father. I mean, I didn't expect Toby to return home, let alone come back pregnant. I'm glad that nothing too terrible happened to him. That rogue would have killed him if he didn't act quickly. Could you imagine living without Toby? Without Felix?"

"I don't wanna think of a life without them," I say, drying my hands off with a towel. "They're my world. And so are you, my love."

Kalen smiles, head still over the toilet bowl.

"Fuck, I love you, baby," he says, leaning back onto his heels. But not after spitting, making a splaying sound against the water. I cringe, shivering in distaste.

"Love you too. Now wash your hands before you touch Felix. He doesn't need to be infected with whatever germs live on the toilet seat."

Kalen chuckles, shaking his head as he stands up. I press a kiss to his lips before exiting the bathroom.

It doesn't take me long to clean up and wash my hands all over again. I crawl back into bed, holding Toby close as he sleeps.
