Shrek finished his mud shower and went to his room, looking at the raisin looking man laying on his bed. He tilted his head and smiled.
"Hey, wake up. I'm making waffles." Those words hurt his heart to say, as they reminded him of his best friend Donkey who was killed by his wife Dragons jealous ex. Fiona left him shortly after this incident because she wanted to help take care of the dragon-donkey babies and he didn't. She took the kids with her, and he was left alone again.
The waffles were almost done by the time Thanos woke up again. Shrek gave him a small smile, and felt something odd in his chest. He was confused, he hadn't felt like that since Fiona was with him.
"So Thanos, what brings you here?" Thanos couldn't reply for a few seconds because of his shock. This handsome man would actually talk to me?
"I'm looking for, um, infinity stones. I'm going to eliminate half the universe. It's for the greater good." Shrek laughed.
"Well as long as I'm not part of that half, hehe." What is this feeling? I'm not... no that can't be it! I'm not in love with him, we just met!
After breakfast, they sat outside and talked for a while, Thanos about his his mission and Shrek about Donkey. They talked until the sun started to set.
"Hey, Thanos, you can take the bed if you want." Thanos shook his head, but Shrek insisted. They argued until they fell asleep, and slept in each others arms.
This went on for a few days, and Shrek was ready to confess his feelings to Thanos.
