That evening when they were watching the sunset, which had become a daily routine, Shrek excused himself for a few minutes and left to the forest. Thanos waited patiently for him to return, and a grin spread across his face when he came back.

"Hey Shrek, what's behind your back?" Thanos stood up to be on the same level as his crush. Shrek took a few deep breaths.

"So, Thanos, I know we've only known each other for a few days, but... um..." he shut his eyes and thrust out his hand from behind his back, revealing a bouquet of sunflowers "Thanos I love you! I fell in love as soon as I saw you!" He was holding back tears, tears of fear and hope and despair. Before Shrek could even process what was happening, Thanos had him locked in a kiss. His purple hands were holding his waist and Shrel brought his hands up behind Thanos' head. They pulled apart for ever-necessary oxygen.

"So, Shrek, I guess we're a couple now?" Shrek nodded and smiled.

"Tomorrow we should go to the castle and get married. I know it's too fast, but I know I will never love anyone as much as I love you" The ogre suggested.

The next day

"I now pronouce you husband and... raisin?" Thanos was too happy to even be insulted by the term raisin. Shrek grabbed him by the waist and pulled him into a passionate kiss. Thanos picked him up bridal style and they used the onion carriage.

At home, Thanos got a message.
"We have a location for the Space Stone. Please respond ASAP." They looked at it heartbroken. Thanos gave Shrek a teary smile.

"Darling don't worry, I won't leave you. I'm staying here. Please though, I need to go and see them to let them know I won't be continuing the mission." Shrek nodded.

A few weeks passed, and Shrek got lonely. He didn't know when Thanos would be back, and he knew someone who was probably equally lonely. He picked up the phone.

"Hey Buzz. Wanna come over?"
