Paul's POV:

Waking up to the shrill sound of the alarm sounded good enough because he had time to rest well, this was one of the few days he allowed himself to skip over-time,though true nobody paid him for the over-time but he wouldn't dare admit it to someone even his best friend Freddie but he felt lonely in the house all alone.

And so he took up over-time,claiming he wanted to make sure things we alright for the neighborhood before calling it a night.

Stretching to his full height, amassing to 6"1 ,he had always had a lithe physique,he chuckled to himself when he remembered how his wife used to tease him when they were still in high school, okay even he could admit that he had always been gangly as a teenage but he had certainly filled out those bones with defined muscles now.

At the force, they were made to shave regularly well he for one have always kept a beard but ever since joining the Nigerian Police Force he had abided by the rules,he remembered how his beards used to be full and well-groomed and how toyin use to run her hands through it when they were still in college, well he had to stop thinking about her unless he would start thinking he guessed the extra sleep was messing with his head.

Noting he still had his handsome face intact after shaving off the stubble,he decided then to get a move on before he resumed late for work.
Not that he didn't like to think of his wife,it was just that memories of her enclosed him because they have always been as thick as thieves while growing up and losing her because of his mistake had caused grief and guilt to eat at him viciously.

It was only in his work he found redemption knowing that toyin would be proud of the good work he was doing for other people,he guessed he owed it all to her......
