Ella walked int o the factory and smiled as she saw nick. He looked to her and smiled

"hey, I got us a coffee and I thought we could go through the orders while the others get down to well making knickers" nick said as Ella looked to him and smiled as she sat down at her desk

"sir" she said as nick handed her a stack of orders. She looked to it and frowned as she realised it was going to be a long day. Ella took the coffee from him and smiled

"I think I'm going to need this" she said as she took a sip if it. Nick looked to her and smiled. Nick sat watching her for a few moments. He did remind her of Carla when he first met Carla and how feisty that she was and he knew how Ella was the same but mick knew he couldn't be looking at Ella the way that he was.

He was with Carla and he couldn't look at her sixteen year old daughter the way that he was. Especially when peter Barlow was her father, he knew that if anything happened that peter would kill him and nick knew that it just wasn't worth the stress of it all. Ella looked up at nick and smiled

"is everything okay" she asked as nick looked to her and smiled

"yeah, it's all good" he said as Ella looked to him and smiled

"I'll be back in a minute" nick said as Ella nodded. Ella grabbed her coffee and took a sip of it and sighed. She couldn't help but feel as if there was something there between her and nick and Ella knew that no matter what it. Was that it couldn't happen. He was her mother's boyfriend and she wouldn't go there and cross the line with him even if there was a connection with them. She wasn't that girl.

She wasn't that daughter and she knew that no matter what she felt, no matter the connection with them that she couldn't cross the line and he simply had to be her boss and her mums boyfriend. Ella knew it was for the best and she knew that she needed to try and keep it as simple as possible.

She needed to get through this job that carla had got her do a good job so that she could start to build her own life. Ella knew that it was for the best and she knew that she needed to focus on herself and her future more than anything else as she knew that she wanted to get away from the street and have a fresh start, where she could start to build her own life and her own future and nick wasn't going to help if she started something with him.

Ella got back to the flat and smiled as she saw grace as she lay asleep on the sofa. She placed her keys and phone on the side as she kicked her shoes off. Ella walked over to grace and wrapped a blanket over her sister and smiled as she sat down.

Grace stirred in her sleep as Ella looked to her for a moment as she stood up and sighed as she went to call Carla. Ella frowned as she saw a note on the side and sighed to herself as she saw that Carla had gone out. Ella ended the call as she called peter

"hi dad, can you come over. She's done it again" Ella said as she looked to grace as she slept. Ella loved grace but she knew that she shouldn't have to parent her all of the time. She was only two years older than grace and it wasn't fair on her, Ella answered the door to the flat and smiled as peter walked in

"I'll take her back, are you sure your okay here. I mean I know you have been at work all day and I don't want you to be alone"

"I'll be fine, nick will be back soon and I'm going to try find mum" Ella said as peter scoped a sleeping grace in his arms and smiled as he kissed ellas forehead

"call me okay, I love you"

"I love you too dad" Ella said as she watched as he walked out of the flat

Ella sat in the flat as she tried to call Carla and sighed as there was no answer. She looked as nick walked in

"sorry I thought you were my mum, she's gone on a bender again" Ella said as nick smiled. He walked over to her and sat next to her on the sofa

"I'm sorry, your doing a great job holding it all together" nick said as Ella rolled her eyes "hardly I sent grace off to my dads"

"that's was the best thing to do" nick said as he looked to Ella. He and Ella held a look for a moment before he leant in and kissed her.

Ella was shocked but soon found herself kissing him back as he pushed her onto the sofa as he was on top of her but little did they know that Kiss was only the start of something thst would change their life's completely
