and so he did.
he took me to the beach, our toes in the sand. we skipped like fairies at the shore, feeling like children again. obviously we earned some odd stares from people around us.
what are you looking at? so a child can dance around in happiness, but adults cannot?
but after being with luke for a while, i had learned to ignore what other people's opinions are of me. the only opinions that mattered were my own, and luke.
luke stood at the shore, small waves nipping at his toes gently. i stood back, taking in the view. his blonde curls blew in the wind perfectly, if that was even possible. everything about him was breathtakingly beautiful.
he turned around, facing me. my breath hitched. his eyes seemed brighter than ever against the swirling blue water. the water seemed even prettier with his irises as a decal.
luke smiled.
oh, that boy did not know the effect he had on me.
he would always be my ocean boy.
this seemed even more obvious when i could see him and the ocean.
