Chapter Seven

It's been days since our so called friendly date ni Calvin. After that long minute hug, umuwi na kami nang hindi nagkikibuan and that's the last thing that happened that night.

I wonder where his girlfriend is, lagi kasi kaming dalawa ang magkasama sa campus nitong nakaraang mga araw. Hatid sundo nila ako ni Carlos sa bawat klase ko kapag free time nila kahit na sinasabi ko namang kaya ko na. Gusto ko sanang itanong sa kaniya kung hindi ba nagseselos ang girlfriend niya, although she's from other school, issues are flying. Maybe she has ears inside this campus. Hindi malabo na makarating sa kaniya ang ginagawa ni Calvin, kahit na sabihin namin na magkaibigan lang talaga kami.

Tulad na lang ngayon, magkasama dapat kaming kakain pero mukhang hindi na mangyayari dahil kumakaway na sa akin si Trinity.

"Do you want to sit with her?" he asked. I paused, unsure of what to do. Of course I want to sit with him, but I want to make new friends either. Ngayon na lang ulit kami nagkita ni Trinity dahil hindi naman kami parehas ng schedule so I decided to sit with her and promised Calvin that I will hang out with him tonight.

"So let's just eat together some other time, then. Enjoy, Charm," I nodded at him and walked to Trinity's table. She's with some of her friends.

I don't know what her expression is — confused, shocked, and envy were written on her face.

"Oh my God! Did Calvin just walked you to lunch? And I like your new hairstyle!" she said hysterically.

"Uh... isn't it obvious?" I answered and someone approached me.

"Hello! You must be Charm? I'm Jo," he's good-looking but I know that he's a member of the community. By just the way he talks, you will surely know his true identity. His hair is a bit long, too.

"He's the queen of queens," Trinity said, laughing. "And Joshua is his name."

"Hoy bakla ka! Ang ganda ganda ng pagpapakilala ko tapos sasabihin mo Joshua pangalan ko? My name is Jo, not Joshua," aniya, halatang napipikon. Natawa naman ako sa kaniya.

"Manahimik ka ngang bakla ka," sabi ng isang babae na katabi ni Trinity. "I want to know more about Calvin."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya. What about him? Is she one of his fangirls? Hindi na ako magtataka, lahat naman siguro ng babae rito ay humahanga sa kaniya.

Well, she's pretty with his mid-length natural black hair, narrow brown eyes, small pointed nose, and thin lips. It's obvious that she is Chinese but I wonder why she's so fluent in tagalog.

"Sorry, Charm. This is Mingzhu, she's half Chinese, half Filipino. And she's the guy hunter of the group," Trinity said and they all laughed at that. I smiled at them awkwardly.

"Don't forget about me," sambit ng isang babaeng kakarating lang, she's wearing an eyeglasses and carrying some books.

Jo rolled his eyes. "And here comes the nerd."

"Hindi ako nerd, I'm just studying hard unlike you. By the way, I'm Sophia. Nice to meet you, Charm."

"Enough with the introductions. Gusto ko na makilala pa ang future ko," Mingzhu said and they all looked at me.

Nagtataka akong tiningnan ni Trinity. "Bakit hindi ka sumabay kay Calvin kumain?"

"Well, I saw you earlier and I want to be friends with y'all," I simply said, shrugging my shoulders.
