Being in love was fun, Doyoung found out immediately after that night.

Weeks rolled by quickly and summer was incredible, affable, and utterly unbelievable.

They went to every festival. Every single carnival or festival posted on the college forums or message boards, Taeyong made it his business to take Doyoung.

One week they went to a mud fest where they rolled around in grey mud with a thousand strangers. Doyoung was so terrified when he got separated from Taeyong for a moment, only to join a group of junior high teens who had a plan to ambush the opposing group. Taeyong was utterly surprised to see a teenaged girl on Doyoung's shoulders, before being pelted in the face with a mud ball.

They participated in a Holi-esque paint festival where they raced around a city block throwing colorful balls of dry paints at the other festival goers (Taeyong had blue coloring stuck on his kneecaps for a week).

But tonight was Taeyong's favorite— the hip-hop festival in Itaewon where he won a freestyle contest and a freestyle dance contest in within the same hour.

Taeyong was even approached by one of the headliners who insisted that Taeyong take his info. He politely declined before jogging back to Doyoung who was grinning from ear to ear, beaming with pride.

"I never knew you could rap or dance!" Doyoung shouted as Taeyong climbed down the stairs from the stage, receiving fist bumps and pats on the shoulder from the other contestants.

"It's a hobby for me." Taeyong said shyly as they walked from the stage area as the festival began to wrap up. "Noona had a huge crush on so many American rappers when we were kids so I just kinda learned from that. I still write rhymes so often."

"You're really good." Doyoung said nudging Taeyong's cheeks, which were hot. "I'm thoroughly impressed."

Taeyong laughed off the compliment as he swung his arm around Doyoung's shoulders playfully before guiding them out of the fairgrounds and to the parking lot.

It should have taken them maybe five minutes to get through the crowd and into the parking but so many people were stopping to congratulate Taeyong, dap him up and insist that he raps as a featured artist on their mixtape—so it took about 20 minutes instead. Doyoung couldn't believe the blush on Taeyong's cheeks and the crinkling on his nose at the praise and he even encouraged Taeyong to take a few photos with the fellow festival goers.
