I never felt so unloved in my life. I'm barely a person at this point. I don't want to do anything. After this series wraps up, I don't think I can continue writing fics. MY depression is kicking my ass and I'm too tired to fight. 🏠🏠🏠

A few months passed and Taeyong finds himself waiting outside of the marketing firm Gongmyung currently worked with a brown bag and tapping his foot incessantly, waiting. It was honestly, maybe a block and half where the main building for Samsung was located and where Taeyong was employed, but he and Gongmyung barely got to see one another.

Of course, both men knew it was a part of growing up and being career men but there's just somethings that you just can't do over KakaoTalk.

"Yong?" Taeyong was pulled out of his thoughts by Gongmyung's voice as the older man jogged over to him with a bright smile and arms outstretched. "You little shit, you promised that you would visit me!"

"Come on, I'm an intern! You busy? I brought you a muffin from the cafe!"

"You're lucky I'm on lunch! What's up? Everything good?" Gongmyung asked as he promptly accepted the bag and peered inside. "Wait...is this triple chocolate?" Gongmyung raised an eyebrow and frowned at Taeyong. "You only give me triple chocolate when you want something, you bastard."

Taeyong chuckled nervously quickly dodging a punch in the arm, frantically. "OK yes, but I did miss you, hyung!"

Gongmyung sneered was he took a huge bite from the muffin. "Yeah, yeah...what is it?"

Taeyong's smiled faltered as he cleared his throat nervously and looked around him to see if anyone could overhear. "Yeah, it's just...I...uh, need to get a ring."

Gongmyung gaped at Taeyong mid-chew, who blushed, avoiding his gaze. "Dude, already?"

"Just a promise one." Taeyong said quickly, his ears turning red. "It's been a year and a few months...Nothing major. I just wanna shop and... I don't know where. And you said—,"

Gongmyung grinned widely, tucking the rest of the muffin in the pastry bag, and taking Taeyong by his shoulders. "I remember what I said! Come on, we don't even have to drive."

Taeyong allowed Gongmyung to steer him to the brisk and short walk to a jewelry store.

"It's so weird seeing you in a suit," Gongmyung scoffed as he tapped the crosswalk button. Taeyong swirled in a circle with a flourish, looking very sharp in a three-piece grey suit with a black tie, his teal hair faded into a dark ash blue and coifed back to show his forehead.
