-- Harry's pov --

"Niall it looks like it's gonna rain and we still haven't found food." I say. I'm starting to worry and Niall isn't helping.

"Harryyyyyy, we'll be find. Trust me. I can feel it. Someone is gonna find us. And keep us. And love us. And everything. Don't worry." He says, pulling me in for a hug.

"Thanks Ni." I say laying back down in the alley watching him bounce around, chasing his tail.

The thing about me and Niall is that we aren't regular people. We're hybrids. Half cat half human, well for me. Niall's half dog half human. It's strange for a dog hybrid and cat hybrid to get along as well as we do, but we found each other. Almost 2 years ago, my old family had moved and left me in the house. I had lived there by myself for 3 weeks, or around there, and then they were ready to start advertising it and put me out on the street. I had been alone for 7 months until I went down an empty road in the middle of the night and almost got killed by, who is now, my best friend. Once he saw I was a hybrid he immediately stopped attacking me and sat down. Both of us know how to talk which is rare, because most of our kind doesn't get taught anything of the sorts. I can speak, but that's about it. Niall can read, write, and speak. He's tried to teach me how to read and write, but with us living on the street, it's hard to find paper and pencil to even try.

"Niall I really hope you're right." He stops and looks at me.

"I know I am haz, I know it." I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.

~~ 2 hours later ~~

"NIALL WHERE ARE YOU? NIALL?" I yell out. I was woken up by thunder and rain pounding down on me.

"Harry, Harry, it's okay I'm right here." I hear him and put my hand out, sure enough he's right there.

"Oh thank god. I thought you left." I exhale a deep breath.

"I wouldn't leave my best friend, now would I?" He asks smiling at me.

"No I guess not." I smile back. He's staring at something and when I turn to look it's actually someone.

-- Louis' pov --

Two pairs of glowing eyes staring at me. That equals 4. I stop and hit Liam.

"Li look" I say pointing in their direction.

"Oh my god. Are those- Louis are those hybrids?" He asks and my jaw drops.

"I-I I don't know. Let's go see." I say and walk towards the eyes.

"Hey guys. Are you okay? Do you need a place to stay for the night?" I ask because I know they're half human and hopefully can talk. One of them stands up and walks towards me, out in the light.

"Hello. I'm Niall that's my friends Harry." He says throwing a thumb over his shoulder.

"Okay so do you guys need a place to stay? It's raining pretty bad out here."

"NIALL GET BACK HERE." The one he said was Harry yells. Niall runs back over there and I can see them arguing.

Liam speaks up, "Hey boys it's alright you can come back to our flat with us for the night. My car is right up here." I see Niall grab Harry's arm and drag him in our direction.

"Told you I could feel it." I hear him say and Harry scoffs.

"So you guys can both talk?" Harry shakes his head no. "I just watched you two arguing. You guys can talk. And Niall just did. Directly at me actually." I say raising my eyebrows.

"See what you do Niall? I told you don't go out there and what do you do? Go out there." He crosses his arms and rolls his eyes. It's the first time I actually take in their appearances.
