Kohaku goes to the siren as if a magnetic force was pulling him.
Hoshi takes action as he dives down and pulls the siren and Kohaku apart.
The siren was angry and so it sang in a more soothing and pleasant tone.
Kohaku was even more mesmerized as he followed the voice towards the siren. Hoshi forcefully pulls them apart as it can't bear to see it's owner being eaten by a mermaid.
The siren was outraged as it left Kohaku alone but went for Hoshi. As Kohaku was still in a state of hypnotization, he didn't care to stop the siren.
Hoshi dodges the siren's attacks swiftly as it tries to make an attack but fails.
Hoshi uses a distress call, knowing it won't be able to defeat the siren by itself.
Dozens of fowls fly, their prismatic feathers lighting up the beautiful sunset sky.
The birds fly in harmony, knocking the siren, stunning her. The siren attacks but fails, knocking her off guard.
Hoshi and its partners would be able to defeat the siren, but......
"Stop, Hoshi! No hurting a maiden! Do you NOT know manners?"
Hoshi tries to ignore Kohaku, once again hitting the siren.
"You ungrateful little thing, how dare you?!"
Without hesitation, Kohaku dashes in between Hoshi and the siren, protecting it, making Hoshi accidentally hit Kohaku. The hit made him bleed, blood oozing from the wound.
Hoshi: "Uh oh-"
Kohaku was exasperated. Shape-shifting into a Bakeneko, it attacks Hoshi.
(The bakeneko (化け猫, "changed cat") is a type of Japanese or supernatural creature. It is often confused with another cat-like yōkai. The distinction between them is often ambiguous, but the largest difference is that the Nekomata has two tails, while the Bakeneko has only one.)
Amber fur, sharp-clawed Kohaku plunges on Hoshi, but he misses as agile Hoshi dodges the intense hit.
The siren once again started singing. Hoshi screeched loudly and tried to block out the siren's song, ignoring the siren that made a death-stare at it.
Kohaku finally made a hit on Hoshi, damaging its left wing. Hoshi screeched even louder, not attempting to give up.
Hoshi flew around slowly, it's left-wing aching with pain. It kept on screeching as few other perytons hear it and join Hoshi. Kohaku finally calms down and without thinking, Hoshi swoops down and carries him away and away, far from the siren...
