I had to be in bed for two days after I returned back to the world of Naroaika. I couldn't move properly maybe it was because my body was still for eight months straight.
When I could finally move, I decided to meet Al. I prepared myself and left to the House of Ascian.
It was my first time there, I felt nervous as I waited in the visitor's room. The door opened and Al came in. I stood up immediately and called out his name.
"Al!"
He looked at me, looking somehow surprised then composed himself.
"I don't believe we know each other to be leaving out the titles." He said in a cold tone.
'Did he really forget about me?'
"Al it's me, Jerinah! Don't you remember? We were supposed to return to the real world together but the wormhole opened right outside my room and I was taken back to the real world alone. But there, I discovered this book-" I was cut off.
"For the last time, I do not know you and I hope you didn't come all the way here to tell me a story, an absurd one to be exact. Now, if you don't have anything important, I'll be leaving. I have some important matters to attend." He bowed and left the room leaving me astounded. He really didn't remember me at all and I couldn't say anything at the moment. I clenched my fists as I looked down and sniffled.
"Lady Jerinah?" It was Mr. Keilan.
I held back my tears and greeted him.
"Good afternoon, Lord Keilan. I was just about to leave."
"We were shocked upon hearing about your condition. I hope you don't feel uncomfortable." He said.
'I am very uncomfortable by everything that's happening right now.' I wanted to say those words but I possibly couldn't.
"I am feeling much better now." I replied.
He looked at me with concern and spoke.
"I know Al's loss of memory about you is troubling you."
I didn't say anything but just nodded.
"I've tried to make him remember but nothing has worked till now. He usually has headaches from time to time too." He continued.
Something was definitely wrong, how could anyone just lose their memories like that? But no one knew the answer to it. I looked at Mr. Keilan then a realisation struck me, I didn't feel nervous when he was around me.
Maybe it was because now I knew whom I held my feelings for.
"I'll do what I can to return his memories back." I said looking at him confidently.
"And I'll make sure to do as much as I can from my side too." He said as he smiled.
I thanked him and made my leave. As I walked out, I knew who would have the answers to everything happening right now.
Azlo.
As I returned home, I asked my parents to allow me to go to Azalea. I gave an excuse that I wanted to buy a pendant similar to mine to gift Juliette. They were reluctant, which was a given since I knew my excuse itself was unconvincing. But they allowed me to go along with Zed.
The next day, we headed off to Azalea and stayed at the Endron Estate.
It was already dark outside and we were both in our own rooms. I quietly walked out of my room and to the stables, avoiding Zed along with the maids and the butler.
