"Jerinah, over here!"
A young Jerinah runs over to Kai as they played in the garden.
"When I get older, will I marry brother Kai?" She asked.
"Hahaha, Jerinah you're still 8 years old. You're too young to be talking about marriage now." Kai replied brushing Jerinah's hair.
"But Jerinah only wants to marry brother Kai!" she swung her arms around.
"All right, all right." He smiled and hugged Jerinah.
"I love you, my dear Jerinah."
As years past, Jerinah's health started to go down. No one knew the reason.
She was bedridden for two years and since then was unable to leave the house nor was anyone allowed except for family.
Kai continued to visit Jerinah but most of the time, she'd be asleep. He stayed with her for hours reading some books to her or just brushing her hair.
Soon, Kai was bounded by official works as he reached a certain age. He stopped visiting the Celeste Mansion completely.
He continued asking about Jerinah's father about her health from time to time but there were no improvements. In due course of time, he met Al who became well known across Naroaika for his skills in wars and battles. But this meeting did no good to him as the King pressured him to be as outstanding as Al was and with time, he started to despise him that soon led to their disagreeable attitude towards each other.
The year XX45, Al came from the real world and started his search for Jerinah. He soon learned about her health but wasn't allowed to meet her. Having failed to meet her at many tries, he decided to wait hoping that her health would get better soon enough.
Kai learns about Al trying to meet Jerinah and got furious. 'What does he want with Jerinah now? I won't let him meet her at any cost.'
He talked to the guards to make sure nobody was allowed to meet Jerinah and with that, Al never got a chance to meet Jerinah for three years.

'What was that? A dream? I wondered as I woke up. I remembered everything so vividly that it felt as if somebody was narrating a story to me.' I put my hand to my forehead. 'If that dream was true, atleast now I know some things about the past life of Jerinah and what Al had been doing after he came here. Also, was the old Jerinah in love with Kai and maybe he felt the same?!'
I could hear the things Kai had said in my dream. "Ugh, they're cousins!" I said out loud. "That explains why he was always so dramatic around me. And also to think that the reason why Kai and Al's attitude towards each other was due to the fact that the King wanted Kai to be like Al is ridiculous!"
I continued talking to myself for sometime in the room.
"Lady Jerinah?" A maid knocked on the door. "Is everything all right? We heard you shouting so early in the morning."
"Ah, nothing is wrong! Sorry for the trouble!" I said out loud from my bed.
"Also, you have a letter. Do you want to read it later or-?
I quickly made my way to the door and opened it. "I'll take it now, thank you!" I smiled at her as I took the letter.
The letter was from Juliette.
