~Kiyoshi POV~

After Minato-nii left I got bored easily. I couldn't train or read anything except my hospital chart. I wasn't supposed to get out of bed. Life was boring.

After a few days I was so bored I was trying to count the leaves on the tree I could see from the window. A knock disturbed the everlasting silence before the door opened to reveal Team Minato with no Minato-nii, even Kakashi was there. "Hey guys!" I greeted happily.

"Hey Kiyoshi!" Obito greeted with a giant smile. "Kiyoshi." Kakashi nodded. "Hi Kiyoshi-chan." Rin greeted quietly. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked. My head tilted to the side on queue. "Minato-sensei told us to escort you back to the Nemikaze Compound." Kakashi told me. He was acting like he wanted to be anywhere else but I could tell he secretly liked hanging out with his teammates instead of being alone like some self-absorbed hermit.

"Uhhhhhh, I don't need an escort. I'm a full fledged shinobi. I can take care of myself." I huffed while crossing my arms like a child. "Do you want to face the village alone?" Kakashi asked me. "No." I mumbled to where only he could hear.

"Then let's go." He stated and walked out of the room. "Kakashi! Wait up!" I yelled at him while getting up and running after him. Rin followed us. "What do you mean by face the village?" Obito yelled. Neither me or Kakashi answered. "Hey! Don't leave me by myself!" Obito yelled from the room.

Kakashi moved from walking beside me to walking in front of me when we neared the market district. The large crowds stared down at us, more like me than the others, with resent and hate behind their eyes. Most people wouldn't notice that almost everyone at least glance at me. Some even went out of their way to avoid our group.

None of that bothered me to much, the only thing that did was the whispers. The rumors about my clan and Team Minato made my blood boil. "The Beat's Brat" was a regular I had gotten used to. Devil's Spawn, Ten Tailed Brat, Yellow Death, Madara's reincarnation, and Beast Tamer were also some insults that the villagers had come up with. Those didn't bother me, not one bit.

They disrespected my clan, my Niisan, my Kaachan, Kushina, Jiraiya-sensei, Tsunade-obachan, Orochimaru-shishou, Sakumo-san, Kakashi, Anko, Asuma, Kurenai, Guy, Obito, Rin, Ibiki, and the rest of my friends. That made me sick.

Obito picked up on the whispers easily much to my dismay. The only ones by then that had known of any of this was Kakashi and Asuma. Kurenai knew about the whispers, the rumors, and the few attempts on my life, she just didn't know why. He heard a particular "Poor things don't know their in the presence of a monster" then, "The kids are probably under some awful genjutsu to know what their dealing with."

Obito clenched his fist from his spot behind me. "Why don't you shut up!" He yelled at the two whispering teens. "Obito stop!" I hissed quietly at him in the most commanding voice I could muster. "They're talking about one of us and that's NOT ok!" He exclaimed. "Their talking about me. Please drop it before you end up getting hurt." My voice went quiet at the end.

"Listen to the Demon brat or you'll get bit." One of the two, a teen with black hair and green eyes said cockily. He was dressed in a regular Chunin outfit with his Leaf headband around his left arm. "Ya heard my teammate, that little girl isn't what she seems. She has a monster inside her that controls her every move. She shouldn't be in this village. The Hokage is stupid to let her roam free like some wild animal."

I clenched my own fist and closed my eyes. "Don't let it get to you." I kept telling myself. "Don't give them a reason to hate you. Smile, stay optimistic, laugh like nothing is wrong, act like you can't hear them, you're fine, they won't hurt you, Obito can take care of himself." I took a deep breath, grabbed Obito's arm as he went to punch the first guy and walked away.

Kakashi and Rin followed, Kakashi sent a dark glare the way of the two as they did so. When we couldn't see them anymore I let go of Obito's wrist but kept the pace. I wanted to get home and away from everyone before they started asking questions.

I felt a hand grip my own wrist and pull me back slowly so I slowed down. "Ki, calm down. They aren't following us." Kakashi stated. He even used my nickname he used when we were little kids. "It's not that." I said with more anger in my voice than I liked. I quickly glanced at Obito and Rin so Kakashi got the message.

He followed my gaze and nodded. "If they ask just ignore them." Kakashi gave me one of his rare eye smiles and continued down the dirt road to the Nemikaze Compound. He still had a hold on my wrist so I was pulled along. "Fine, just don't tell Minato-nii or Kaachan." I begged. "Deal." Kakashi nudged my side playfully.

"Hey Kiyoshi-chan, what was that back there? Why did you let those idiots call you a demon?" Obito asked me after a few minutes of silence. I looked at Kakashi with my peripheral vision. He nodded discreetly. "I, It was nothing Obito. Just leave it alone." I said looking down. "Why does Kakashi seem to know everything too!" Obito yelled as Rin said, "It wasn't nothing, you seem down."

"I know more than you because I've known Kiyoshi longer." Kakashi answered for me. I bit my lip in anger. I didn't want Obito or Rin to know anything about the Jinchuriki or the Avatar. But I couldn't leave them asking around the village or Minato-nii.

"I'll tell you as much as I feel comfortable with when we get to the Compound. As for now, leave it be." I looked to the ground as I said that. Obito and Kakashi stopped fighting. Kakashi looked surprised and Obito jumped up in the air and exclaimed how happy he was. "Are you sure?" Kakashi asked me quietly as we continued our way to my house. "I'm not telling them everything. Just enough so they won't go asking around." I answered.

"Don't say anything you'll regret." Kakashi advised. "I won't." I whispered back. "We're here." I informed the two behind us as we stopped in front of an iron gate that connected to the large cobblestone wall. I opened the gate and walked past the tall oak trees, small ponds, colorful flowers, the garden. (pin.it/7FvYdCe)

I walked up the front porch dreading the conversation I was going to have with my fellow classmates. I opened the front door and assured the other three inside before I shut it, leaving any hopes of keeping my secret a secret.
