Nightmare and Dream went out of the house. Deciding to have a lovely day together, doing whatever they wanted, like they did everyday. Though, there was a slight problem, they decided not to tell Star and Moon. So they snuck out at the brink of dawn and ran towards the hill.

Well that was the plan. Nightmare for some strange reason felt scared and didn't sleep well that night. The only way he did fall asleep was that Dream hugged him in his sleep. That put his mind at ease and he was able to fall asleep late into the night.

Dream got up first. Getting out of bed and going down the stairs, seeing that no one else was up. Though that was fine. He would wait for Nightmare to get up and then they can go outside. With the snapping off his fingers his clothes changed to his usual attire. He stretched and yawned and sat down on a chair. Kicking his feet back and forth, for around five minutes. Before he began to day-dream.

He pushed his chair to the window and looked out, crossing his arms and leaning them as he stared at the sunrise. Dream smiled softly, staying completely still as he sighed softly. The blended gradient colours of the yellow sun and the blue sky.

He soon felt a tap on his shoulder. "Where did you go? I was worried when you weren't there." Nightmare tugged on Dream's short sleeve.

"Oh I only went down stairs. I didn't want to wake you up." Dream answered. "Nighty look at the sunset, it's really pretty!" Dream pointed through the window.

Nightmare looked off to the side. "I don't like it." He mumbled.

"What? Why not?" Dream questioned getting off the chair.

"Because I don't like being trapped inside and the sunset being out there." Nightmare traced his finger around the glass.

Dream nodded in agreement. "Well let's go outside then." He beamed up at his brother and quickly opened the door. "Come on."

Nightmare looked down at his feet, subconsciously twirling his left foot in a circle. "Okay." Nightmare went out the door as well. "This is so much better." He sighed, relaxing his posture, he wondered why he was so tense inside of that house.

"Glad you're feeling better brother." Dream gave him a cheeky smile, before he gasped having a fun idea. "Do you wanna race up the tree, before the sunrise leaves?" Dream brought the idea up.

Nightmare nodded enthusiastically. "Okay then."

Dream's eyes formed into stars. "Yay, thank you Nightmare." He hugged his brother tightly, lifting Nightmare off the ground a little, though not for too long.

"Aw it's no problem Dream. I'm glad you're happy." Nightmare still didn't quite understand why he was feeling rather upset. Maybe it's because he was far from the tree? He reasoned as he patted the top of Dream's head.

"Wait, are you only doing this to make me happy?" Drew tilted his head.

Nightmare shook his hands. "No, I'm doing this to make us both happy and so we can see the sunrise before it goes away."  Nightmare reassured. "And it looks like it's gonna go down soon, so RACE YA!" He exclaimed going off into a sprint.

Dream giggled. "Okay." He put his arms about by his sides and ran after his brother

The two darted up to the tree, Nightmare pushed off the stump and grabbed onto a branch. He leaned back and put a hand to help Dream up. Since he knew Dream struggled to get to the first branch.

Now that the two were back at the same point they both climbed up the tree as fast as they could. Both brothers were evenly matched as they went up the tree, knowing that the branches were sturdy enough to hold their weight.
