Chapter 1: First Day Back

Its the first day back to school after summer.I'm going to the 10th grade! I'm not really excited about school, I'm excited to see Chris again! He's been in The Bahamas all summer. I think I want to call him now.

(Dials in phone)" Hello?"

"Hey babe! I missed u all summer!"

"Oh hey Jaide. I missed u to. U going to school today?"

"Yea. Not really excited about it. But I can't wait to see u!"

"Me too. I have to get ready so I'll see u later"

"OK, love u, bye"

(Hangs up)

School starts in an hour 1/2 so I start to get ready. I put my outfit on and go put my makeup on then grab my stuff and head out the door. I decide I wanted to walk to school. So on the way I meet up with my best friend Meghan.

Meghan is the most amazing friend anyone can have. We've known each other ever since we were in Kindergarten. And somehow, every year we went to the same school and ended up in the same class. She's really defensive to. She won't let anyone hurt me, or hurt my feelings,and let them get away with it. On the way,we talk to each other about what would happen on the first day.

"Hey Meghan"

"Hey Jade"

"Omg I was not looking forward to the first day."

"Me neither. But I hope we have the majority of our classes together.

"Yea. I was talking to Chris this morning b4 I left. He didn't sound too happy when we talked. I wonder if he even missed me while he was in the Bahamas."

"Of course he did, he was probably just mad cuz it was the first day."

"Maybe. I'll talk to him when I see him today."

"Yea. Do u wonder if Courtney and Bridgette still go to this school?"

"Idk,but I hope not."

Just in cases u were wondering who Courtney and Bridgette are, they are the worst girls in the school. They bully people all the time. On the last day of school last year, they jumped one of the freshmans, and she ended up in the hospital. They're also sophomores this year meaning we have the same everything. All I know is they bet not say nuthin to me or its goin down.

As we approached the school, we could see all the kids piling up in front of the door as if they were excited to go in. Me and Meghan were like, "This is it". We walked in and see the school hasn't changed a bit.

Same teachers,same hallways,same everything. My homeroom teacher was Mrs. Billings. But Meghan's was Mr. Ivanson. This is the first time we've been separated. Except that we had every other class together.

"Alright, I'll see u later Jaide."

"See ya"

I walk into my homeroom and see that That Bridgette, Chris and one of my ex - boyfriend's, Darryl. And also another close friend of mine, Teresa. I was not happy with the fact that Bridgette was in my class, I'll just try to ignore her.

I sat down next to Chris and spoke to him.

"Hey babe"

"Hey Jade"

"U OK "

" I guess,no, I'm having family issues right now."

"Do u want to talk about it?"

Before he could answer,the bell rung.

"I'll tell u later."

Mrs. Billings stood up in front of the class and spoke.

"Good Morning class, I am Mrs. Billings and I will be ur homeroom teacher this year. You are sophomores this year so I expect sophomore behavior. Breakfast is over there and in ten minutes we will get to know each other."

I went to the breakfast table and got me and Chris a blueberry muffin. Poor guy. I wish he would talk to me about his problem. I went and sat next to him again and gave him his muffin.

"Thanks"
