Chapter 9:Cancelled and Cancelled

The next morning, I woke up and hour earlier. Still had Meghan on my mind. I went in the living room and turned on the tv. On the clock I saw it was only 5:30. It was still raining outside. I didn't even wanna look out the window.

I turned on the news. The first thing I saw was school cancellations. The weather reporter was standing in the middle of the street. The rain turned the street into a river. The water was above her ankles. I just kept looking at the schools being closed waiting to see me and Jaden's schools. I saw Jaden's first then I went upstairs and told him while he was half asleep.

By the time I got back downstairs I already missed all the high schools so I had to wait to see them.

Finally I saw my school,and went back to back to bed...

***Two seconds later my phone rings***

"Hello"

"Hey it's Chris and..."

"I know,no school today."

"Yea but I'm still kinda upset about the whole Meghan thing. Are u still visiting her today?"

"Yea"

"I might go with u"

"Ok just be over here by 3"

"Ok see us later. Bye"

"Bye"

***Later at 3pm* **

"Ready to go"mom said"

"Not yet I'm waiting for..."

Chris pulls up.

"Oh never mind"

We go to the car with him. Once we arrived at the hospital, wet checked in and looked for her room.

"She said room 214. It should be upstairs."

We took the elevator up then found her room and slowly opened the door. She is eating lunch and watching tv.

***We talk very softly***

"Hi bestfriend"

She looks over at us surprised. Her voice is kinda low and crunchy,

"Oh my God,hi Jaide."

We approach her and I give her a soft hug tying not to cry.

"How u feelin"

"A little better. I'm still really sore though"

Wish they never hurt u!"

Meghan gives a light smile to him.

"I so glad your okay. I'm gonna make sure we walk to school every morning TOGETHER."

"Thank u"

Afterwards we were just talking about whatever then I have to go to the bathroom.

"I'll be right back"

I leave.

***Chris POV***

"U know,school was canceled today anyway. "

"Yea saw it this morning"

"Hey Meghan I just want u to know your still beautiful even with bruises all over face."

"Thanks"

Ok. It's true. I had feelings for Meghan. So what. I kinda liked her. But I still love Jaide. Meghan whispers in my ear...

"I love u"

I don't think she realized what she said. But I agreed with her and then...

***We Kissed***

Bad time too. Jaide was just walking in. I feel like an idiot.

"Hey Chris we have to go my.... CHRIS, MEGHAN! WTF!!"

Automatically,I was thinking in my head that it was over.

"Jaide I can explain!! Just let me talk!"

"I think what I saw was a good enough explanation. Find your own way home."

"No wait!"

She leaves and slams the door.
