Defying Chapter 4: The Beast Inside

We waited for the next name in the roulette.

"Normal field. Air field."

"Blue team. Alpha Cluster. Crestwave, Rainzelle. " a Hydro. Again.

"Red team. Delta Cluster...

Frigidstone, Maxwell Calixto. "

Wait what???! Who's gonna battle whom now?

I am ready to hear that but it seems to be so unexpected. Second battle? How am I gonna put on a good show if Pierro had given the students and even the sergeants a fine show.

Still, it's not for a good show. Not for showing off. It is for bringing out the best in me.

Enough for my thoughts, I walked towards the scanner that automatically gave me the suit that I needed.

In the opening, I can feel the harsh winds in the hollow grounds. There are only three platforms that we can step on. Two small circles in the right and the left and one large circle in the middle where we should battle.

"Individual Battle Rounds. Alpha versus Delta. Commence!" The computer said.

"Ya' think ya' can beat me weirdo!" I think she's angry at me.

"Ya' show-off!" Yep. She's angry at me.

She made big hands out of water. She controls it like she have big hands. She stands and showed her battle skin. She turned into pure water. But her face returned into normal.

Without further ado, he hastily punched me. The force and speed caused me to stumble. As I stumbled down, she grabbed me. I am between the palm.

The fists of water is I can't breathe because it clenches me like its made of real hands.

I am forgetting the fact that I need to bring the best in me. So I tried to escape. After that, I don't know what happened next.

-Rizziel's Point Of View-

I watched Max as he struggles in the hydro hands clenched him.

"Aaaaaaaah!!!" He shouted then the hands dissipated.

Suddenly, I saw his eyes glow. His hands glowing. Blue in the right and red on the left. I think he's having his battle skin.

By what I am seeing right now, all trainees are looking at him. Even Sergeants Braveheart.

Max's hair is now raising as he levitates. He is surrounded by a visible aura that moves things away from him. Its like a shield.

It is not more of a battle skin. But more of a battle suit. He waited for Rain to move. But for a minute, Rain was also stuttered. Then again, she regained her consciousness and went back to the battle.

Rain raised her hands and shot some hydro guns above. The volume of water is too many I think. She did that for a while. We waited for something to happen.

Suddenly, it rained. I get it. She made it rain. Hydros has this ability that they get more strength and speed when its raining ir they are in water. Likewise to Pyros, they also gain advantages when the field scorches.

The rain pours heavily. Rain manipulated the water to surround Max. Then suddenly, Max is inside the sphere of water. Butbhe is not struggling. He diffused the water again using his fire. Turning it into gas.

Rain blasted pumps of water but Max manages to blast it with with ice and fire, making it water. So they blast each other with equal power. But Max's power is more powerful, so he blasted Rain off. Rain is inches away from the edge of the area of battle. She mustbdo something if she wants to live.

"I am not yet givin' up loser!" She whiplashes Max with water at great speed but Max manages to raise his hand with telekinesis, water just dissipates into droplets.

Max is not attacking. He is just defending himself.

Rain made a big hydro ball. Literally big. She shot Max. The crash caused some smoke. So we can't see what happened. But since there is harsh winds, the smoke was cleared fastly.

Max wasn't even hit. Maybe she shot it with something.

"You will not win this loser!" Rain said. The amount damage at Rain's suit is decreasing.

Finally, Max said something...

"Or will I?" As he said that, re raised his right hand and let the rain be ice shards that is very sharp.

Now, the rain stopped as he contolled it with kinesis. Its like the time stopped as what happened.

"This will not be good. " Amber said. We nodded at her.

The vertical upright shards are now horizontal. Pointing all towards to Rain. Rain is shocked and scared. We can all see it in her.

"Let's see who's loser. " as he said that, Max ordered the rain to move towards her. That happened quickly because in a bkink of an eye, Rain crashed towards the gutter walls of the arena.

"End battle. Winner for merits. Delta Cluster. Return to the waiting sheds." But as the computer said that. Max collapsed.

I flew towards him to bring him here in the sheds. He is still unconscious.

"Cadet. Bring Frigidstone into the infirmary for additional assistance."

Sergeant Strauss said.

Suddenly, Max woke up and told Sergeant Strauss, "I'm fine Sir. No need for that. "

"Very well. Good performance Frigidstone. Keep it up." Max saluted at him.

We each get a chance to say something to Max as he sits down.

"Nice battle dude!" Gray said.

"You crushed her like a cheesecake." Spencer said.

"That was so amazing!" Ravel added.

"NICE ONE!" Gabe, Felix, Brix, and Wade said in chorus.

"That was a great battle out there. We would be glad if you were to be chosen as our Alpha. " Amber said. She's correct. With his amazing skill. No doubt that he can win every battle.

"How did you do that? You're so great back there!" I said with full sincerity.

Then Max looked at me with full curiosity...
