Defying Chapter 6: Still Very Confused

As I gazed upon Dad's lightning bolt, Mom looked at me and surveyed on how will I react. Then suddenly...

She laughed?

"Hahahahahahaha. If you only saw your face. It was hilarious. " Mom told me. Alright. By this time, I can't feel her maternal instincts.

"See, Max, Magnos and I are buddies since the superhero days. To tell you a fact, he also helped me court your Mother way back then. " he said before he and Mr. Starfall did some mysterious and for me, creepy handshake.

"Then why did you blasted him with Thunderclap? Are you both some kind of sadist and masochist?" I said whike doing some hand gestures.

"Let me ask you Max." Mr. Starfall turned his attention to me.

I waited for the question to come.

"How do you make magnets attract metals?" He said and waited for my answer.

"Simple sir, by the travel of..." I paused and thinking about the right answer.

I heard something that certain metals turn into magnets when they are coiled or exposed to...

"Electricity. " he said completing my response.

"Just as right Sir. I was just startled by the fact that Dad attacked you. I thought you were..." I said.

"Enemies?" They both said in chorus. After that they laughed their hearts out.

"Hahahahaha! You really think that were fighting?" I nodded as they continued to laugh.

"See, Max, before I met your mother, we were formerly known as the M Duos." Dad said. We continued our flashbacks in the receiving area of our house.

Caroline is not yet home from school. She is not going for battle institutions. That's what I heard from her after our chat last night. She said Mom and Dad agreed to it.

Those who don't want to be heroes and want to live a life with serving the people in a safe way, like in offices or restaurants. They will proceed from Training Institutions rather in Battle Institutions.

In continuation of Dad's regular talkshow...

"What's this 'M Duos' Dad?" I asked persistantly.

"M Duos means Magnos and Megawatt. We are once called with that names. I'm Magnos and he's Megawatt." Mr. Starfall told me.

With all these fact, I'm getting the feeling of great pressure. The head of my school and my Dad was once a great duo in terms of battling mischief.

"So, moving on. What breath of polluted air brings you here Magnos?" Dad said sarcastically. I can feel my hands rumbling. Nervous, of how would Dad react at what happened earlier.

"Very funny Wattson. Hmm. About what we talked about the other day about Max. " they looked in the eyes like they're talking.

"What? That?!" Dad told Magnos overeactingly.

"Yes. And maybe I should do some action between this. " Magnos countered.

Mr. Starfall looked at me after talking to Dad. I can see Mom waiting for the actions of Mr. Starfall.

"Max. Tomorrow. You'll go directly in the Sky Dome with your cluster without any further ado." He finally said.

"Yes Sir." I said. What will he do next? Will I release again the beast in me? I hope not.

"I'll be going now. See you more often Wattson. " His eyes are more silver than his gloves. His hair is so well-arranged like he's the president.

Mom and Dad aren't that mad after all. Its like they expected this to happen.

Its also just worrying for Skylark not to see how Dad turn into a teenager again.
