MORNINGS were always the same for Lavender Morales and had been the same since her best friend Alison went missing. Lavender would wake up, have a shower, get dressed, do her make up, have coffee, then leave for school. Her routine never really changed, and she liked it like that. But that day, it just felt weird. Maybe it was because it was the anniversary of her friend going missing.
Lavender sighed as she got out of her bed and made her way over to her wardrobe. She pulled out an outfit and walked towards her bathroom. She stripped herself of her pyjamas and her underwear and got herself into the steaming shower. Lavender couldn't help but let a sigh escape her mouth as she closed her eyes and let the hot water relax her mussels.
She was going to put on the outfit she had planned the night before but decided against it as she remembered that she had cheerleading practice before school, so she threw her actual clothes for school into her gym bag.
She changed into some gym clothes, and threw a cardigan over her sports bra, though she knew that it wouldn't be on long once she got to practise. She grabbed her gold necklace which had her name on it, which was sitting in a trinket bowl in her bathroom.
As Lavender was about to leave she froze once she glanced over at her jewellery box and saw the bracelet that Alison got her with her name on it, she let out a sigh and left it.

"How was your summer?" One of the girls trying out for the cheer-team asked Lavender, as she was putting her bags into her gym locker. Lavender had been on the cheer-team since she had started at Rosewood High.
"It was fun." Lavender shrugged as she remembered how she spent her summer in the country her dad was in ━━ it was Australia that summer.
Lavender threw her hair into a high ponytail and grabbed her water bottle before she left the changing room and walked out to the school field and stretched with the other girls that were out there.
