. . . maybe it was jenna

"THIS is the letter A sent my mum." Aria said as she looked over a piece of paper in her hand. The girls had read it the night before, and knew it was the letter that A write to Aria's mum about her father's affair. The girls were lounging around Spencer's house, most of the girls being in the kitchen while Aria sat in the lounge room.

"You know it's not your fault, right? It's your dad's mistake, totally." Emily reminded her.

"No, it is my fault." Aria fought back.

"You did not hook with her and then ask your kid to cover for you." Spencer reminded her reminded her.

"Ali said I should've told my mum right after it happened." Aria went on.

"Ali? Alison knew?" Emily asked surprised. Lavender wasn't. Alison told her when it happened.

"Yeah, she was with me." Aria informed them.

"So, Alison saw this Meredith person?" Lavender asked as she took a sip from her cup of tea.

"Meredith? Her name is Meredith?" Hanna said, turning to face Lavender. "Ew. That's not even a cute-girl name. I'm seeing big pores and mousy roots."

"Hanna, I think it's too soon to make a joke." Spencer finally joined into the topic at hand.

"I'm sorry, but if you're gonna cheat, you might as well do it with somebody who deep-conditions her hair occasionally." Hanna replied.

"Here, put something in your mouth besides your foot." Spencer said as she handed Hanna a plate with one of the bagels she had on her countertop.

Hanna just rolled her eyes before turning to Aria, "I'm sorry. Okay? Look, all I'm saying is that when my dad left, laughing sometimes helped. So, did crying."

"My father hasn't left, guys." Aria said slightly annoyed. "I mean, this happened over a year ago." She said as she joined them in the kitchen, making the girls go silent. None of them really knowing what to say. "You think he's gonna leave?"

"Look, whatever happens, we're here for you." Emily finally spoke up, the others just nodding along.

"Thank you, guys, for staying here." Spencer said, changing the subject. "I couldn't have been here alone."

"When's your family getting back?" Lavender asked the Spencer.

"This afternoon." Spencer said with a sigh of relief.
