4: The Lucky One..

CHAT NOIR'S/ ADRIEN'S P.O.V :

The day of prom was coming closer but the thoughts of my princess were still there in my head.. I couldn't stop thinking about her... So I decided to pay her a visit and hopefully by that time I was free  .  I tossed a piece of Camembert to Plagg because he won't agree to transform without it.. I was impatiently waiting for him to gobble down that stinking cheese piece... 

As soon as Plagg finished his eating... I raised my right fist into air and shouted,"Plagg! Claws out!"

NOONE'S P.O.V :

With that he  transformed into his  alter ego...Chat Noir and kept leaping  from roof to roof till he reached Marinette's balcony... He knocked lightly on her trapdoor and she opened and said,

"What do I have here? A stray, mangy cat!" Chat slightly frowned and the smell of sweet macaroons that was lingering in her bedroom made him lick his lips...

"Were you eating macaroons all alone without me?"Chat crossed his arms.

Actually she was not having snacks but her kwami was eating them..so she couldn't deny the fact...

"Um...Yes! Do you want to have too?"

"How could i say no to them?Purrincess!"

Marinette went downstairs to bring the stray cat some macaroons... While chat noir was staring at the pictures of his civilian self, stuck in Marinette's walls. He couldn't help but think of the rude way he had rejected her and he felt guilty for it ...But he had never noticed Marinette's this side, she was so beautiful, loving and caring and there were so many adjectives still left to describe her..

"Chat Noir! Here are your macaroons..."

"Um..Thanks princess!"

He was snapped out of his thoughts by her sweet voice.. He munched on the macaroons and they were so delicious ...not even the best chefs in his mansion can bake such yummy macaroons... While he was munching, Marinette was working on her designs of the dress that she would wear to the prom...

 "What design are you working on?"Chat asked while eating..

"I am working on a dress that i would wear to prom but am not coming up with a good one.."

Chat Noir had fully forgotten about it... but anyways he didn't want to go to the prom... because he needed to spend some alone time...and it was hard for him as he had his packed schedule ...

"The boy with whom you are going must be lucky!" He put up a smirking face..

"No Chat Noir! Actually I am not going with anyone  and I didn't want to go but Alya ... she told me to go and besides ..I won't have anything else to do at home... So I agreed.."

"Is there anyone you want to go with?"Chat Noir asked but with a more serious face..

"Honestly Chat Noir! I would like to go with Adrien but he already told Nino that he would not be coming and I respect that ...besides he has already rejected me and may not want to go with me...So I didn't ask him..."
She felt a little sad on mentioning Adrien's name...

"So... you are not over Adrien yet?"

"Chat! It will take a long time for me to get over him...I truly loved him and I  can't forget my love for him so easily... and what about you.. you naughty..flirtatious.. mangy..alley cat?"

Chat sighed.. He too loved ladybug the way Marinette loved his civilian self, Adrien but Ladybug didn't pay attention to him as she thought him to be flirtatious and not true to his love which was a wrong thought... Chat Noir was true to his love and could do anything for her but she didn't seem to notice... He needed to get over her... and how could he?.. He had promised his heart to ladybug!

"Yeah! I am also not being able to give up on ladybug...She's just my world.. And just like you it will also take some time for me to get over her... But don't underestimate this Chat Noir..."

"Ughh! Here you go again.. Boasting and bragging about yourself!"

"Anyway...Um..princess can I be your partner to the prom...I understand if you say no... I am just-"

"Yes of course! Chaton! I'll go with you."

His mouth dropped wide open but he suddenly recovered from his shock and fixed his mouth not wanting to show his princess that he was shocked but Marinette unfortunately saw that.

"What! A princess just gave her 'knight in shining armor' a shock!" She giggled.

"No.... Um...Fine! I am a bit shocked but then again you never know what is going on in a cat's mind now do you? Anyways princess... See ya...I have to go now!"

"Okay fine! Chat noir ... See you on the day of prom..."

"Can't wait!" Chat mumbled under his breath but Marinette couldn't hear it.. Once he was out in the dark he mumbled,"Guess what! I was the lucky one..."

After Chat had gone Marinette quickly finished  her design.. The thought of going to the prom with chat made her feel butterflies in her stomach but she didn't know why she was feeling so strange around chat noir.. Anyways she stopped thinking about him as she was too sleepy and quickly went to bed...

Next day.. she again woke up late and as usual rushed to school and entered the classroom two minutes before the bell rang... All day her mind was flooded with memories of chat noir... 

MARINETTE'S P.O.V :

I was again thinking about chat noir.. No Mari you need to concentrate... Don't think about that naughty chaton...

"...inette! Can you please tell me if sodium is reacted with water , what will happen?"

She came out of her dream world and said,

"Um....Ma'am what? Weren't we studying physics?"

"Marinette you are not paying attention to class... If this continues to happen I will have to give you low grades! Now sit down and pay attention!" Mrs. Mendeleiv said.

"So.... Who were you thinking about ? A special model or someone like that I suppose huh?"

"No! Alya It's just ..um.."

"Anyways!With whom are you coming to the prom?"

At that question i couldn't help but blush and I said," You'll soon find out reporter!"
