Don't leave me Alone

5: The prom...

Finally! It was the day of the prom and Marinette was really excited as she was going with her partner, her friend, Chat Noir.... She was wondering what he would wear to the prom..And she herself was wearing a pink gown with her hair neatly tied in the form of a bun...

She was waiting for him so longingly... and then he finally showed up...He was looking so handsome and gorgeous wearing a black suit, not his leather one but a fancy one! ...Marinette couldn't help but gaze at him..and so was chat noir... He too was staring at Marinette's dress.. He knew Marinette was beautiful but in her pink dress she was... he couldn't find the right words to describe her...

"Wow! You look.... divine!"Chat Noir complemented...

Marinette was still staring at him..with her mouth wide open.

"Oh come on! Purrincess! I know I am handsome but there's no need for you to gape at me like that with mouth wide open ...I don't want you to catch flies now, do I?"

"You look absolutely handsome and gorgeous Chaton!"Marinette finally remarked after closing her mouth..

Chat Noir had never seen Marinette's bluebell eyes sparkle with so much excitement.."Now we shall head towards the prom..shall we?"

"Yes definitely! We shall!"

They both walked hand in hand and reached the prom.. As soon as they reached the prom all eyes fell upon them... and Marinette was feeling kinda shy. Suddenly chat felt someone pull Marinette and he was already lacking the feeling of warmth in his hands. Alya pulled Marinette and asked with raising brows, "Gurl! Why didn't you tell me, you were coming with chat noir... Are you two a thing?.."

Marinette blushed and replied, "Of course not! Alya! If something would have happened between us ...You would have been the first one to know.."

Alya nodded her head in confusion of course not believing Marinette's words.."If you say so!"

Then Marinette went back to chat noir and the dance was about to start... And Marinette felt heat rising to her cheeks..

"Hey! are you nervous?"Chat noir smirked.

"Yeah! Sort of! " Marinette answered without looking into his face..

And then the dance started. All were with partners and Marinette would be foolish to go without a partner..Good thing! Chat showed up on time... Even Chloe was with a boy who was not in their class...

Marinette and Chat noir were the center of attention.. and their eyes were on each other...

Suddenly someone called out, "Oh! Look Sabrina! It's again that baker girl and she is having a crush on that second rate superhero... I think it was not good enough for Adrien to reject her...Now she's with chat noir thinking that chat noir would love her.... Oh! Dupain-Cheng! You are so ridiculous! Why don't you understand that noone will ever love you because you're not rich, pretty and famous.. You don't have anything... You're just the daughter of a baker..."

Marinette couldn't stand that.. She instantly pulled away from chat and ran...wherever her trembling legs could take her...and she wanted to be far... far away from this whole selfish world...She went towards the Champs-Élysées and stood on the bridge... thinking about the way how Chloe had humiliated her...

Then she started walking towards her home with tears in her eyes.. She hated to admit it but what Chloe had told was absolutely true...

"Chloe was just right! I'm just plain, simple, clumsy Marinette and noone will ever love me.... I don't deserve anyone or anything!"

Marinette had walked into her room... And Tikki flew out of her purse and said,"Are you okay, Marinette? Don't mind Chloe's words, she's always like that, always wants to pull you down and today you and chat noir were getting much more attentions than her and so she possibly humiliated you like that.."

She didn't want to think about it, her brain was too exhausted.. and she just wanted to lay down and cry...

After Marinette had left the prom, Chat noir was pissed off at Chloe for whatever she told to Marinette..Chat noir sent some glares to Chloe and she laughed and said,"Don't say that you're in love with Dupain-Cheng... Oh! come on! What else can I expect from you , you're a second rate superhero..ladybug's sidekick...Chat Noir sweared that he would take revenge but now he needed to find Marinette... wherever she was.. He went to his home, pulled out the mask, fake cat ears and the suit and then transformed into chat noir..

He leapt from roof to roof until he reached a certain bakery and then knocked on the trapdoor. No answer came and he started knocking louder...

"Go away Chat! Leave me alone and... never come back!" Her voice seemed broken at the end as if she was crying for a long time.. and the thought of it made chat noir's heart jump with pain and he said," Please princess, I beg you! Let me in..."

After that.. the trapdoor opened and he quickly jumped onto Marinette's bed before closing the trapdoor..It was biting cold outside but chat noir was oblivious to the fact...Once he was in.. he tightly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her into a hug... Marinette felt so warm and safe in his hands .. she wanted to stay in his arms forever.. and so wanted chat noir... But Chat Noir pulled away and said," You don't believe a word of Chloe .. do you.. she just needed attention and every word of her were wrong!..."

Soooo! I have updated a new chapter! And i will be up with the next one soon!
