Cole leaned against his bike, his eyes closed as he contemplated on the situation at hand.

He knew that something was very wrong and that Emma didn't want to tell him. He hated the fact that she thought that she had to go through all her struggles alone, even though he went through most of his toils alone, he knew that he wasn't meant to, no one was meant to, no one was supposed to think in any way that they are alone.

He shook his head and let out a sigh as he focused back on the gate.

That's the problem with most people, especially Christians, they love to help others through pain but they feel like they burden people if they voice out their problems so instead they struggle alone.

Cole let out another sigh of frustration, trying to take his thoughts away from the situation. He just didn't understand.

Emma wanted to be a psychologist so she can help people and stitch up their inner wounds, but yet she's bleeding and trying to hide it from everyone.

It was like a deaf person giving another deaf person hearing-aids, but refusing to ask for a pair, it just didn't make sense.

He focused his concentration back on the Resting Home deciding that if she didn't step out in the next 20 seconds he was going to go in. As though hearing his thoughts, the small sounds of footsteps were heard coming towards him.

Cole's gaze met Emma's petit figure walking towards him and his mood fell times a thousand.

Judging by the way she walked dangerously slow with her head down and covered with her black hood alongside her long brown hair that had caged her face, her hands seemed to have been glued together in her the pockets of her hoody and she moved as though walking was against her will.

In a split second Cole was before her, a look of worry washed all over his features.

"Are you alright?" He asked softly as he gently held both of her shoulders. Emma nodded her head causing more hair to shadow her still bowed face. Cole sighed and began to slowly lift up her chin. Emma flinched at his touch and Cole could almost feel the pain of his heart being ripped out.

Just the mere thought of her being scared of him, and not trusting him, felt like some kind of nightmare, it felt like as though he was being sentenced to a death penalty.

He slowly stepped closer to her. "Emma, it's okay, it's me, you can trust me." Cole said soothingly as he cupped her cheeks and continued the process of slowly raising her face to meet his gaze.

A small smile formed on his lips as he felt her relax into his hand and lean into his touch, but it was quickly washed away as her eyes finally met his.

Emma's eyes were sore crimson and more than slightly swollen, her lively brown pupils had become dead and dull and anyone could see the dried up streaks of tears across her face.

Cole felt his heart stop, he didn't know what to do, he wanted to go in and beat up the person that made her so sad but this was an elderly home and there was literally no one he could beat.

He took in a deep breath and paused as he realized the feeling, he felt sad, he felt like something was taken away from him, like the part of her that was wounded also left a part of him shattered.

"Emma, please tell me what's wrong." Cole said leaning his forehead against hers, the desperation clear in his voice.

Her whole body felt like jelly that was about to wobble off and fall at any time, causing him to wrap his hands round her waist holding her closer to him.

Emma closed her eyes and Cole could see a small tear trickle down her cheeks making Cole's heart shatter all over again.

"Emma please." He said so quietly that he didn't even know if Emma could hear him.

She paused before slowly shaking her head.

"I can't" Cole sighed at her response and nodded his head. He didn't know what to do, he wanted to make her feel better but she wouldn't let him. He wrapped his arm round her and they began walking to the bike, hugging her body closer to his as though shielding it from the unknown force that had struck her.

Cole lifted her up and placed her on it before climbing it after her. He didn't bother with putting on her helmet, he felt as though she needed fresh air, she needed to experience the feeling of the calming breeze against her and just take in deep breaths, hoping that it would help her since he didn't know what to do anymore.

They rode for some minutes just round the same place until Cole felt her relax a little bit and lean into him and then they headed towards her house.

Cole loved the feeling of her head leaning against his back, but at that point, he didn't. He could feel his shirt dampen because of the small tears that rolled down her cheek, and hated the thought of her silent tears.

They arrived at the front of her house and Cole got down supporting Emma to get down also. Emma looked down at the floor before summoning enough courage to look back at Cole who was already staring at her.

"I'm sorry." She said her voice still incredibly low from the sobs. Cole's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Why is she telling me sorry when she's the one in pain?

"Emma, you literally did nothing wrong? Why on earth do you think you need to apologize and what for?" Cole said tilting her chin back up to face him. Emma sighed and shook her head

"I j-just b-broke d-down a-and w-wasted y-your t-time a-and p-put m-my p-problems o-on y-you." She said stuttering her words as though trying to hold back more tears. Cole sighed and caged both her hands in both of his.

"Emma you didn't even say anything, you didn't do anything wrong. I want you to remember this, a person that truly loves you and is your true friend, will never ever feel burdened by any of your problems, you're not meant to be alone nor are you meant to suffer alone. Emma, you help people and now you need to let people help you." Cole said offering her a warm smile.

He placed a soft kiss on her hand that he was holding before letting it go, turning and driving off.
