Chapter 1

*Cringgg! Cringggg!*

I was unable to return to my sleep due to the sound coming from my phone. So I decided to wake up and pick up my phone on the side of the table near my bed. Exactly someone was calling so I answered it without looking at who it was.

"Good morning, Love." greetings from the man on the other line, I opened my eyes when I realized who it was.

I smiled and looked at the calendar on the wall to see what date it was.

3rd anniversary..

"Good morning too, Love" I greeted him while smiling broadly.

"To you too, can we meet tonight at our favorite place? 7 pm sharp."

Whaaaa! I think he had a surprise for me. My heart is pounding with joy! What can I wear later? I need to prepare my dress for this special occasion!

"Sure, love. I'll hang up this call and do my routines."

"Sure, I love you"

"I love you too"

I woke up in my bed and fixed it. I did my routine first before deciding to go downstairs.

"Tiiii, dwink." my younger brother Ethan called me when I got downstairs.

"Water? Wait. " I immediately go to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Then I went back to the living room to give Ethan a drink.

"Here," I said.

When Ethan finished drinking the water, I immediately took the glass then I went to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast.

"Jade, are you done?" mom asked.

"Yes, mom. I just finished preparing our breakfast. "

When Ethan comes on the table, I carry him to sit, "eat! eat! "

"I'll feed him, you eat too." said mom.

I sat down next to Ethan's chair when there was a knock on the door. I looked at it and entered a tall man with messy hair obvious from running, thick eyebrows, round eyes. His towel was still hanging over his right shoulder while wearing earphones. He removed it before approaching our direction.

"Hi, Celestine! Hi, Ethan. Good morning, Auntie" He messed up my hair before approaching my mother.

"Yuck! The sweat on your forehead has gone into mom's hand," I rolled my eyes at him and chuckled.

"It's okay, Jayson. Sit next to Jade and you Jade, get your handsome friend a plate" mom ordered.

"What? He's not handsome!" I said as I fixed my hair and stood up.

"And you think you're beautiful?" he shot back but I just ignored him.

"Where have you been?" I heard my mother ask him.

"I just went out for a jog, Auntie. I want a healthy lifestyle. I'm going home too so I passed by your house" He laughed. I approached him to give him his plate and glanced at him.

"You just want to taste my cooking! By the way, you didn't even invite me to jog Jayson, you fool!" I slapped him on the shoulder.

"Ouch! It's too early for you to hurt me! I texted and called you this morning but I think you were talking to someone else. I also thought you might still be asleep or maybe you were talking to your boyfriend."

"You two are naughty and noisy, stop this kind of misbehavior. You are in front of food." Mom scolded us while laughing.

Jayson suddenly became serious about what he said. He just grabbed some food and talked to Ethan.
