When we talk about god we always believe that god is always talking care of us but won't come down to show us the path, instead we'll have to find it ourselves.
Maybe that's the meaning of the whole "Parents are God" thing?
As parents, people should teach their child good values, manners & their traiditions but also give their child the freedom to build its own values & thinking. Just as god, parents must let their child live their life according the way they want to, as only then the child will learn valuable lessons needed to survive in the real world. Let the child fail, learn & try again because even parents become parents with no prior training, they learn parenting along the way, so why not let your child do the same with its life and be there whenever it needs you?
Free them from chains as chains will only give them bad mental values.
Also, god will never be angry if you choose to live the life it gave to you in a way that makes you happy because ultimately that's what god will want right, seeing it's kid happy?
