chapter 11 : kartik was here?

[ A/N : I know Vansh's birthday party was over way before this track took place but let's just pretend it's happening now ]

The bright rays of sun fell on kartik's wake. He groaned slightly and slowly woke up. When his eyes were wide open the first thing he saw was Naira who was sleeping with her head leaning on the pillar.

He smiled when he saw her face.

"Oh god Naira slept here all night in this position? Her neck must be paining...!"Kartik thought.

He picked her up in bridal style and walked inside the Singhania sadan.

It was around 5 am and no one was up yet. Kartik walked into naira's room. He tucked Naira in and pecked on her forehead. He walked towards Kairav who was sleeping on the other side and kissed on his forehead and then left to his house.

Kartik didn't want to go but he had to.

After sometime Kartik reached the Goenka villa. He slowly sneaked on to not get noticed by anyone but he failed.

Dadi was sitting near the mandir when she saw Kartik sneak in. She stood up and walked towards him.

"Kittu?"Dadi said and Kartik looked at her.

"Haa Dadi?"he said

"Kittu. Where were you? When did you go out....!"She asked in confusion

"Woh Dadi I couldn't sleep so I went out an hour back....!"He lied

"Kittu. Don't lie to me. Tell me where you were!"She said

"Dadi...why would I lie?"Kartik said

"Kittu I was awake since past one hour. I didn't see you go out. Tell me the truth. Where were you!"she said seriously

"Dadi woh...I....!"Kartik shuttered

"Kartik?"Vedika said coming down.

"Kartik. Where were you all night? I was worried when I didn't see you in home. Where were you?"she asked coming down.

Kartik remained silent. Him and Dadi looked at each other and then at vedika.

"Kittu slept in my room last night with me!"Dadi said taking stand to Kartik.

Kartik looked at his Dadi in amusement.

"Oh okay Dadi....!"Vedika said and left upstairs

"Kittu tell me the truth now....!"Dadi said looking at Kartik

"I was at naira's house. I went to see Kairav...!"Kartik said

"Did you go to meet Kairav or...!"she said trailed off.

"Dadi....!"Kartik said and left.

Naira woke up and saw Kairav sleeping next to her.

"Wait...how did I get here? Kartik came last night right? Or was it all a dream?"Naira thought.

"Maybe it's a dream!"Naira thought.

"Baby wake up...you will be late to school. Wake up wake up!"Naira said slightly shaking Kairav

"Your tadpole is having fever. I won't go today!"Kairav replied childishly covering the duvet over him.

"Acha! Stop your drama my drama queen and get up. Get ready and go. Your annual day rehearsals start today!! Get up get up!"Naira said finally waking up Kairav.
