chapter 34 : naira is arrested?

During the night Naira made Kairav sleep and she sat near the window. It was past 11pm and Kartik was still not home.

Naira was worried as he was not even answering his phone. Naira wanted to go talk to Manish but she didn't want to disturb his sleep.

After sometime she saw a car approaching. Naira took a sigh of relief when she saw kartik's car. She turned the lights off and then went downstairs. Just as Kartik entered inside Naira came down.

"You are still not sleeping?"he asked

"I was worried. Why are you so late and on the top you were not answering your phone!"Naira said.

"I am so sorry Naira. My phone battery died and I forgot to take the charger...!"Kartik said

"That is why I always tell you to take your phone charger with you!"Naira said

"Acha I am sorry naa baba!"Kartik said

"Go freshen up and come. I will arrange for dinner!"Naira said

"Naira I am not hungry...!"he said

"I was waiting for you to come so we can eat together. Don't give me any reasons. Come soon!"Naira said

"You didn't eat? I told you so many times not to wait for me right?"Kartik asked

"I also told you so many times to come home soon but hey we both have habits of not listening to each other right?"Naira asked while Kartik sighed

"Fine fine. I will be back soon!"Kartik said and went upstairs while Naira went into the kitchen.

After sometime Kartik came down and sat at the dinning table and ate along with Naira.

"Naira I need to tell you something!"Kartik said after he finished eating.

"Haa. What is it?"Naira asked

"I have this important meeting for this big deal in London. I am leaving tomorrow!"Kartik said

"How many days?"Naira asked picking up the plates and walked into the kitchen.

"6 weeks...!"Naira stopped on her tracks when he heard kartik's answer. She placed the plates on the counter and turned around

"6 weeks? What? That is so long...!"Naira said. Kartik stood up and walked towards Naira. He held her hands and looked at her.

"Haa I know...but this deal is very important Naira. I hope you understand...!"Kartik said while Naira remained silent

"Trust me I want to take you with me. I really do but Kairav is there na? His school and all...!"Kartik spoke and Naira still remained silent

"Naira say something...!"Kartik said

"It is okay. Don't worry...!"Naira said with a small smile.

"Are you sure?"he asked and Naira nodded hugging him.

"When will you leave tomorrow?"Naira asked
