Reader POV:
I have the day off and Ukai showed me a bookstore not far from Nana's bakery. And I want to know if they have manga. So I'm currently heading to 'Books' which literally is the name of the bookstore.
When I finally arrived I found a pole and started to strip dance, no brain stop, I chained my bike to it.
I entered through the front door. The smell of paper, new and old, filled the store. I looked around, there weren't many people here.
I noticed some spiral stairs leading to who knows where. I looked around to see if anyone was looking, and scurried up in a hurry.
There were more books on the upper levels. I noticed a sign,
'Horror ➸
Children's Section ➹
Mangas ➷'Aha, that way. Strutting towards the windows, I look up and down the shelves. I noticed towards the windows, there was a little bench full of cushions. That looks comfortable. I grabbed a dozen mangas and sat down on the bench.
An hour and a half later, I'm laying on my back with my legs leaning on the shelves. I'm on my 15th manga.
"Is that comfortable?"
I look up from my book, and I see an upside-down man. Wait, I rolled so I was on my stomach. There we go right side up. He is tall and has messy black hair.
"Yes, it was very comfortable. Would you like to try it?" I moved so there was space for him. He hesitantly took a seat next to me. And got on his back with his legs leaning against the shelves.
It was silent for a couple of seconds, then he spoke, "You're right, this is comfortable." We both snickered. He sat up.
"So what do I call you? Cause I can't call you Random girl I met in a bookstore."
I shrugged my shoulders, " I mean no one is stopping you from doing that. But that is a long name." I put my thumb and index finger to my chin as if I was thinking.
He chuckled, " I mean do you want me to call you that?"
I shook my head and gave him a closed eye smile. " Call me (L/N)."
"Cool, I'm Matsukawa." He grinned at me.
"Wow, you like manga don't ya?" He asked, noticing the suspicious pile of books.
"Of course I do, who doesn't?" I crossed my arms and puffed out my cheeks.
"Heh, you look like a chipmunk." He chuckled and poked my cheeks. I swat his hand away.
"Hey, Matsun." We both turned our heads and met with a pink-haired dude.
I gasped, " Can I touch your hair?" My eyes sparkled when I saw him nod. I grab some of his locks and rub them in between my fingers. So soft, and smooth. It went on for a minute or so until it was brutally taken from me.
"Sorry to ruin the moment, but my buddy is waiting for me downstairs, so." The pink-haired boy said. I retracted my hands from his hair and gave a sheepish grin.
"Sorry, I've never seen pink hair before and it looks so pretty."
He laughed, "I do take well care of my hair." He smiled, and waved goodbye, "See you around, hair toucher."
I got new friends. As soon as they were out of sight, I fist-pumped the air. I got weird looks from the people around me but ignored them once again.
