The girl pouted, her silver hair swaying as she walked. She crossed her arms, leering at the other, her golden eyes glinting. The other girl snickered. "You can't use my own trick against me. It's not gonna work, Himiko."
Himiko groaned loudly, disturbing the few others around them. "But the Foods you buy are so bitter! They never taste good to me!" A scoff sounded through the air.
"Well, it's not my fault you have bad taste!" The girl huffed, tossing another bag of chicken into the cart. The wheels rolling loudly against the tiled floors. She nearly jumped at the offended gasp that escaped Himiko's lips. "Aino! You know how I feel about frozen chicken!"
Aino chuckled, plucking the bag out of the cart. "Then," she started, "Why don't you look for a meat option that'll benefit the both of us?"
Himiko's eyes shimmered, she smiled brightly, her fangs shining brightly. She walked a away, a measly 5 feet towards the red meats. Aino sighed lightheartedly, a soft smile gracing her lips. She faced back to the frozen food section, slowly scanning the columns for something she could indulge on this week. She quickly reached towards her favorite sweet, Coffee Ice Cream.
She grinned widely- it's usually never in stock. She scanned the box, glancing back up at the columns for only a moment. She'd gotten the last one. She held in a squeal, giddiness filling her heart. It supposedly has some type of intense sweet and effective caffeine in it. It was selling out so quickly that she could never get her hands on it, but now she has the last one!
"Why would you get so excited over ice cream?"
Aino flinched harshly, her head whipping towards the voice. She blinked at the grin on the persons face, taking in their very familiar hair and eyes. A smile crept onto her face, her eyes scrunching. "...Why wouldn't you?"
"It has double the caffeine of regular coffee, and it manages to stay healthy and sweet at the same time! Not to mention it always sells out quickly."
She smiled up at them, her colorful eyes glinting. Of course she'd recognized him. The intense eye bags and voice that always rang through her ears. She'd be damned if she didn't remember it.
"It has... double the caffeine?" A small look of disbelief crossed his face, his purple eyes widened. "... Would it be too much to ask if I could have it?"
Aino's grin dropped for a moment, Her eyebrows scrunching slightly. She glanced up at the stands, scanning the empty shelves. She faced the boy, a small smirk rising to her face. "Yes."
She turned towards her cart, placing the ice cream down in it, she looked towards Himiko, watching her stare at the meats with such intensity that she wouldn't be surprised if set on fire. "Himiko! Just pick the one you want before you set it on fire!"
The girl smiled, picking up the pack she had been eyeing. She quickly placed it in the cart, walking ahead to the next section. Aino turned towards the boy, smiling at him, taking in his shocked expression. "Bye Shinsou-San!"
The sound of rolling wheels filled the aisle. Shinsou stood still for a moment, before he let out a quiet chuckle. He fiddled with the pen in his pocket, a smirk spreading across his face.
--- Four Hours Later ---
Aino groaned loudly, her hand thudding against the table. She glared at her screen, eyeing the faces on it. She shifted, standing and eyeing her door.
The girl unlocked her door, quietly walking towards the kitchen. She quickly filled a cup of water, walking through the living room for only a moment, before something caught her eye. A small piece of paper stuck out of her coat pocket, black ink showing through.
She cautiously stalked towards the coat, her golden eyes dilating. She quickly picked the paper out of her pocket, blinking at the sight. Her shoulders sagged slightly.
'XXX-XXX-XXXX
I forgot to ask for your number, so here's
mine.
-Shinsou'She froze for a second, letting out a quiet laugh. She ran back to her room, imputing the number into her phone. She stopped. What if it isn't him? What if it's a villain who saw me talking to him. Are there villains smart enough to find out? Dumb question, or course there are. Unknowingly, she had sent a message to them before it registered to her, a quiet ding! Signaling her to look down. She let out a shuddering breath, a small smile creeping onto her face.
Kurosawa - Hey.
