I finish my breakfast and head to the door. As I'm walking there, I spot Maria.

"Hey Amy, how you doin?" She says with a smile. "I'm fine, the foods really good today." I say chuckling lightly.

"Yea, well don't forget about the dance tonight! I really want you to be here." She comments before walking off to do some other things. I smile at the thought of a dance, havent been to one in a while.

I open the door and is greeted by a cold gust of wind. I shiver lightly, I make my way towards my house. Waving to the residents that live nearby and make small talk with some.

I finally reach the house and see Leo standing outside waiting for me. He had his coat on and backpack. I make it over to him and hug him lightly before heading inside.

I hear Leo come in as well and plop onto our coach. I smile at him before getting ready for patrol.

I head my room and grab my pistol and knife. I head out it be stopped by Leo.

"What?" I ask with a confused face. He shook his head before saying,

"Tommy and Maria changed the patrol groups, Ellie's going with Dina, and I'm with you." He shrugged before grabbing his gun off the end table.

I shook my head lightly before nudging Leo, making him get up. I nod towards the door and walk over to it. He sighs before getting up.

As we make our ways towards the stables, Leo offers to get our horses while I get us our ammo. I agree and head over to the gates to stock up. I see Jesse there also, I make my way over to him. He's loading his pistol, He's going on patrol too huh?

He smiles as he sees me heading over to him. I nudge his shoulder lightly, "Heard you and Dina broke up, y'all were always so sweet on one another." I say sadly before looking at him. He shakes his before saying, "Yea well, we just weren't working out, beside she likes someone else." He says before looking over at my brother leading the horses over while talking to Dina. Oh...oh seriously Leo?

I sigh before giving him a hug. "Sorry about my brother, he's a ladys man sadly." I frown before walking over to my brother.

Leo spots me walking over and winks at Dina before she walks away. He looks back at me and hands my horse over to me. I take the lead in one hand and pet Glitter with the other.

"You really trying to get with Dina, Leo?" I groan as I look at him. He shrugs before walking over to the main gate. I shake my head before joining him.

I make it to the gate and get a little pep talk from Jesse. He gets in front of everyone before whistling, making everyone look his way. He clears his throat,

"While on your runs, Mark your routes, check your log books. But if you run into anything you can't handle, you come back. No matter what." He finishes and everyone agrees with that before going out the gate.

𝘼𝙢𝙮'𝙨 𝙋𝙊𝙑.

Leo and I finally make it to this abandoned town for o ur run. We decided to look in different buildings to take less time and get back to Jackson.

As I'm making my way through a apartment. I search anything I can find, until I hear groans and cries. Runners...shit

I silently make my way over to the hallway. I can hear about 4 of them, I decide to flank around over to another apartment across the hall. I only hear one, so I very quietly take my knife out of its holster and grab the runner, stabbing into its neck a couple times before it dies.
