I sat in the student lounge. I had my arm on the arm rest and my head in my hand. I took deep breathes. "Hey" I looked up to see Archie. "What." I did annoyed. "Um Jughead asked me to come find you he finished the interview." He pointed down the hall. I nodded and put my head back in my hand. "Hey Betty," Archie slung his bag down on the floor and sat in the arm chair. "Are you okay?" I nodded. "Yeah I just didn't get much sleep last night that's all." I rubbed my forehead. "Well maybe we can grab some pops after school or something, some coffee might help." He suggested as I scowled at him. "I have homework." I got up and left.
I walked into the blue and gold. "Sorry about that." I said to Jughead. He was leaning on a desk. "It's fine don't worry about it," he said. He picked up the notepad beside him and handed it to me. "This is what I got out of them." I looked at it. "That's good jug." I handed it back to him. "Really? I felt like my brain was being melted listening to them ramble random things." He laughed. I smiled. "So what's your plans for tonight Betts." He asked putting the notepad down. "I was going to go home and oh yeah get yelled at by my mom." I joked. He smiled. "Well there's a movie playing at the bijou it's kind of a scary one discretion advised." I smiled and bit my bottem lip. "That sounds nice, I'll be there." He smiled at me. "Wow did I just get the Betty Cooper to go to the movies with me?" He joked. I playfully rolled my eyes. "Don't her to cocky jones." I laughed
I waited for Jughead to pick me up as I stood near my window peering out every two seconds. I rocked on my feet. "And where in gods name do you think your going dressed up?" I looked down. "I always wear sweaters and jeans." I said. "But the makeup Elizabeth!" She scolded. "I cant fix it now mom I'm about to go." She stared at me. "I don't care if you have to go you are not allowed to go anywhere looking like that!" She yelled. "All I have is a few shade darker lipstick it's not a big deal mom!" I snapped. I heard a car and looked out the window. "And there's my ride, I got to go mom." I grabbed my bag and pushed past her.
I walked out to see a motorcycle and I scrunched my eyebrows. "A motorcycle?" I said confused. "Don't be scared I haven't gotten hurt." "Yeah not yet" I said concerned. "Awh don't worry about my Betts, I'll be fine and I promise I won't hurt you too." I gave in as he handed me his helmet. I wrapped my arms around his waste as we took off the the bijou.
When we got there it was packed. "Wow I guess I was wrong a lot of people in this town like horror movies, I mean it is Riverdale after all. Why don't I go get out tickets and you go get anything you want from the consession stand, but Atleast popcorn too." He handed me two twenties and I scowled at him. "Jughead no I can't spend this money I will pay." I said. "No it's fine, next time you can buy us pops." He smirked. I rolled my eyes playfully and walked off to the consession stand. "One Pepsi, a large popcorn and gummy worms please." I said handing him the money. The cashier took it and walked over to get the popcorn. I felt someone grab onto my soilder. "Cousin Betty! I didn't expect to see you here? Isent this a little much after all this trauma you've been through?" She said. "You mean the scary movie? If anything it's a lot less scary." I said. "And your alone, wow bad bitch moment I see." "No actually I'm here with Jughead." I said grabbing the soda from the cashier. Cheryl grabbed its and took a sip. "Well how would your mumsy feel about that." I took the Pepsi from her. "I'm only joking I'm no snitch. But watch out for serpents cousin, there nasty and I don't want you falling in that same trap." She whispered. "Toodles." She walked away flipping her red locks as I rolled my eyes.
Me and Jughead found seats and sat down. He wrapped one arm around my shoulder as I sipped on my soda. I didn't mind either it felt calming. "So what did Cheryl want from you." He said. "She uh she told me that she wanted to ask me something about homework at school but couldn't find me." I lied. He nodded. "You are smart Cooper I'm not suprised." I giggled. "Thanks for taking me by the way, I needed to relax for one night" He smiled at me. The movie began playing as I sipped on my drink. "Are you going to be scared?" I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "I'm not going to be scared." He shrugged and smirked. I sipped on my Pepsi and then there was a jump scare and I jumped onto Jughead as he laughed. "I thought you don't get scared."
