The night of the football game my mom came into my room while I was peacefully going my makeup at my vanity. "Elizabeth don't you think that lipstick is quite, bright for this occasion." I rolled my eyes. "It's pollys. Its my first game without her and I wanted to honor her legacy as a River Vixen." I put the cap on the lipstick. "Well I don't want you wearing it." "Well I don't care." I said. I squeezed my hands into fists as I dug my nails into my skin. "Now if you'll excuse me I have a football game to get to." "I want you home after the game no later, I don't want the same thing that happened to Polly to happen to you." She said. I ignored her as I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.
"Go! Go bulldogs! Go, go, go bulldogs! B-U-L-L-D-O-G-S lets go BULLDOGS!" We all cheered from the sidelines as Archie got tackled and the mud from the rain slapshed. I held back a laugh by biting my lip. Veronica nudged me. "That's Halftime! Now coming up are our schools very own cheer team, the RIVER VIXENS!" We waved our Pom poms in the air as we ran onto the feild and got in positions. We R Who We R blasted on the stadiums speaker as we did the choreography which was extremly sexualized my Cheryl. I saw Jughead in the crowd and smiled. I shook my Pom poms and danced happily. The music stopped as we got in our final positions. The music shut off as the lights went off on the feild for extra effect. Then they turned back on and Cheryl had a microphone.
"Lady's and Gentlemen. Tonight's game and cheer was dedicated to one of our dearly beloved and adored former River Vixen Polly Cooper who had died a tragic death. And for this ceremony we would like her sister Betty Cooper to say a few words for us." I looked around confused. No way I'm hell am I going up infront of everyone. Cheryl grabbed my arm pulled me center feild and handed me the mic. "Um hello, I uh I'm Betty. All I have to say is.." I looked at Veronica who smiled at me to keep going. "Is that Polly was my best friend. And when I found out..." I then saw Polly I'm the crowd clapping, nobody else was clapping, just her. My breath quickened as I watched her. "Go Betty!" She screamed. Her voice was so real and fimilar then I somehow snapped back to reality and saw evertone staring at me. I dropped the microphone and ran into the changing room.
I ran to the bathroom and puked I'm the toilet. I finished and flushed the toilet. I got up and brushed off my outfit trying to breath. My hands were shaking as I went to the mirror to fix myself up. I was paler then the moon, my hair was all wet from the rain and I looked terrified. I sat on the bench and cried. I could never go back out there again. Then I saw Polly walk in. She shut the door behind her. "Betty, why did you run?" I looked at her. "Your not real." I wiped my tear from my eye. "Don't be silly Betty ofcourse I'm real." I shook my head. "I'm going crazy." I said. "Your not." She sat next to me. "Just leave me alone Polly, please your messing me up. As much as I hate to see you go for good I need to let you go." She looked down with tears in her eyes. "Betty you have to know that I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm here right here I'm right infront of you." She pleaded. "No your not! Polly your dead!" I screamed. "I am here with you now so what's the point." "The point is your not real!" She tucked her hair behind her ear and I saw hand marks on her neck, bruised and bloody as I screamed.
Veronica ran in and hugged me as I screamed. "OH MY GOD!" I sobbed. "Shhh it's okay B" she rubbed my back as I sobbed ugly sobs making animal noises.
