The feeling of her lips on mine was indescribable. I never wanted it to end, I wanted to continue kissing
Evelyn forever, but we would pass out if that happened.Eventually, Eve and I pulled back to catch our breaths.
"That was...amazing." I breathed out.
"Yeah...who would've thought that we'd fall in love and kiss right here underneath our treehouse." Evelyn snorted.
"We swore we were straight." I joked, Eve laughed along with me.
My face got serious and I looked at Eve in the eye.
"All that you said earlier—it wasn't a lie , was it?" I asked somewhat doubtful.
"Hey! What did I say about doubting your best friend?" Evelyn tickled my chin as she shouted.
"Okay, I'll take that as no," I chuckled.
"But what if you weren't just my best friend?" I suggested as I wrapped my arms around her waist, bringing her closer to my body.
"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" Evelyn grinned.
I nodded as I bit my lip from nervousness.
"Then...I'll go with yes! I would love to be your girlfriend!" She cried out.
The rest of the day we ate ice cream and hung out at the park. We decided to take it slow since it was our first time ever being in a relationship.
Once it was dark out, I had to return back home so Eve dropped me off. She told me she would be back tomorrow after school to pick me for our first date as a couple.

The next day...I woke up feeling fresher than ever. The sun was out and everything felt so bright. I was excited for my first date with... Evelyn.
I hopped out of bed and skipped to the bathroom.
I brushed my teeth and took a cold shower. For some reason cold showers leave me with the feeling that I can do anything if I put my mind to it.
After I dried myself, I put on the clothes I had splayed out on my bed.
I wore a lavender long sleeve top, and a tight pair of dark blue jeans.
I did light makeup with a touch of purple eyeshadow to match my blouse.
"Veronica come down! Eve's here!" Mom yelled.
I squealed but then covered my mouth, hoping that they didn't hear me.
I put away all my makeup and checked myself in the mirror before going downstairs.
As I walked down the stairs, I saw my mom talking with Evelyn. Then, they noticed me walk in and Eve stared at me.
She gazed at me as she looked at me up and down. I blushed softly.
I also took a moment to appreciate Eve's outfit. She was all dolled up in her cutest baby blue Saint Laurent dress . She was wearing pearl bracelets on both arms, had pearl earrings, knee-high socks and to top it all off, a white channel handbag to match. Ugh, my girlfriend looked so stunning.
"Dinner is almost ready girls, you can go ahead and take a seat." Mom beckoned.
Eve and I took a seat next to each other so Mom could sit across from us.
"Well, you look cute today. I love this color on you." I complimented her.
"Thanks. You look stunning, as usual." She leaned in closer when she said the last part.
I blushed again and she chuckled.
"So, what are we gonna tell your mom?" Eve whispered.
"Let's tell her that we're dating and taking it slow. Simple." I smiled.
"I'm nervous. Are you sure she's supportive?" She looked down.
"Yes, of course. Don't worry about a thing, baby." I caressed Eve's cheeks to calm her down.
"Did you just call me baby?" She smirked.
"Erm~ yeah and what about it?" I asked sheepishly.
"Nothing, it's a cute. I like it."
Evelyn brought my hand up and gave it a French kiss. It was sweet.
"Okay, dinner is being served~" Mom started bringing more and more plates of food from the kitchen. Everything looked delicious.
