Evelyn and I turned around once we heard someone's voice.

"Amelia?!" Eve shouted. "You do did all of this?!"

"Yes, of course! I had to. I mean, I had to get back at you some how." She shrugged as she looked down at her nails.

"Amelia, you're still not over this? It's been years, what's the point of fighting when there's nothing to fight about?" I stepped in.

"Whatever, I don't care. Now the whole school knows about your little not so secret, secret. I hope you're ashamed of yourselves, you weird homos." She spat.

"At least we don't hold grudges, unlike some people." I spat back trying to come back with something harder.

Amelia walked off and left us in front of the locker room. All I could do was lean against the wall as I let out a sigh.

"What are we gonna do now?" I asked Eve, but I was kind of asking myself as well.

"Well, we own up to it." Evelyn shrugged.

"Huh?" I was confused.

"We should just own up to it and tell the whole school. Okay, so what if we're dating? It doesn't matter, it's love. We're not gonna let them treat us like outsiders just because they know who we really are." Eve said.

I agreed with her. Our relationship shouldn't be seen as weird or disgusting because we're two girls dating. Just like how a boy can go out with a girl, a girl can go out with another girl.

"Okay, but how will we tell the entire school? It's impossible to get over a thousand of kids to listen to us. They'll probably throw food at us." I frowned.

"Hey, don't think like that. We'll get them to listen." Evelyn encouraged.
_____________
The next day everyone came in with their gym clothes since we had a school assembly in the morning. Everyone had to attend and all of our teachers were gonna be there too.

I put my hair up in a bun and wore a pikachu hair clip. I tried to reassure myself that everything would be fine, but the thought of thousands of kids staring at me and judging me wouldn't go away.  My palms were sweating and I was trembling a little.

I inhaled them exhaled before saying goodbye to mom and leaving with Evelyn.

As soon as I got in the car, Evelyn could tell something was up with me.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She had a worried expression on her face.

"I think you should know already..." I mumbled.

"Oh...don't worry about that! Everything will be fine and when we get there, just act normal. I have the perfect plan."

"What is it?"

"You'll find out soon..." Eve trailed off with a grin.
_________
We arrived at school and all eyes were on us. It didn't matter what hallway we walked through, we were stared at. But Evelyn made sure to hold my hand the entire time.

"Just stay with me and ignore their stares." Eve whispered.

I just nodded in agreement and we walked to class shortly after that.

We sat down at our desks and waited for the teacher to start class. Everyone was in their seats talking and gossiping about us. I felt uneasy.

"Good morning class! We're going to leave in a few minutes for the school assembly , please make sure you use the bathroom before leaving because you won't be able to use it at the assembly." She gave us last minute instructions.

"Yes ma'am!" We all said in unison.

EVE POV

I turned around to look at Veronica. I studied her face and noticed how nervous she was. I knew why, but I wasn't going to say anything. I have something in mind for the assembly and I hope everything goes according to plan.

After a few minutes, the class starts to line up to go to the gymnasium for the assembly. Amelia pushes us to the back and glared at us.

"See you at the gym, weirdos." She giggled as she walked away.

"Don't pay attention to her." I said to Roni.

"Yeah, I know I'm trying."

The whole school made its way down to the gymnasium and we had to sit on the bleachers. Veronica spotted Olivia in the crowd and we waved at her. Olivia signaled for us to come sit next to her.

I told Veronica to sit down with Olivia instead because I had something to do.

"You can sit with Olivia. I have to do something real quick." I said as I patted Roni's shoulder.

"Okay, see you later then." Veronica then scurried off.

I went to find my favorite teacher, who also gave me the permission to do this.

"Mr. Nell!" I shouted.

Mr. Nell turned around when he heard me shout his name and smiled.

"The principal said you could give your speech right now if you want." Mr Nell told me.

"Great! I wanna do it now please."

"Okay, wait here and when she's done talking, you're up kiddo." He said.

The principal walked in and introduced herself to us again. She gave short speech before start the assembly, but I don't think anyone was listening. Half were gossiping and the other half were playing around with friends.

"Okay, that's all I have to say! But before we start today's assembly, Evelyn would like to say something." She looked at me and beckoned me.

Mr Nell gave me a thumbs up before I walked to the podium where the entire school could see me. Now all the attention was on me and boos and jeers were heard everywhere. I wasn't discouraged though.

"Hello, everyone. We're all gathered here today for another school assembly, but before we begin...I wanna say something," I started off saying.

"Yesterday, you all got to see me for who I really was. Now that I think about it, that's not a bad thing. I'm happy you guys got to see that moment I shared with my girlfriend . You should be happy too and you shouldn't be upset or disappointed in me. Okay, I like girls too, why is that an issue?" I glanced at Veronica for a moment. She gave me a thumbs up before I continued.

"Everyone's okay with a boy and a girl dating, but when it comes to my girlfriend and I...we're stared at. Our love shouldn't be seen as weird and we're not disgusting either. Our love is the same as your love except, we're the same sex. I don't know about you, but I'm proud to be bisexual." I bowed after finishing my speech.

There was an awkward silence until Veronica and Olivia stood up. They slowly started clapping and then more students began to clap with them.

I watched as more and more people stood up to clap too. The staff behind me were clapping as well and I couldn't be happier.

Everyone was clapping for me and I bowed once again.

All was well and I smiled as I looked at Veronica. Or so I thought, because that very moment, I made eye contact with my parents. They were right in front of the entrance.

I immediately started to panic and my mind couldn't think of anything better so I bolted out of the gym without looking back. I didn't care if everyone saw me I just needed to get out of there.
