"So this is where ya been hidin?" Logan asked uninterestedly.
Ororo saw through his poorly disguised rouse. His pheromones were like steam vents releasing into the air- aromatic and pulsating. He knew she was at Okoye's- everyone in Wakanda knew. No, the animal and was hoping to find her.
"And now you have found me."
"Yea- well... me and the kid are flying out tomorrow so I came to see if you want a drink before we go."
Ororo fought back laughter before looking him in the eyes, "so- you want another lesson in obedience before the sun sets on your Wakanda mission." It was a statement.
Logan leaned back on the fence as he scratched his long hair. "Not sure- but I can't get your sweet taste out of my mouth Goddess, and I'm ready fir my second course." He glanced sideways at her gauging her reaction.
Ororo closed her eyes. She was a woman who enjoyed sex. She had never denied herself what she wanted and was up-front with those whom she took pleasure in and with. Sex was one of the first areas of her life where she felt truly liberated and in-tune with her inner self. She was unapologetic because she spoke only from a place of desire and confirmation. And those wants had always been difficult for others to fill- leaving her wanting more or somehow unsatiated with each individual... but something changed in her recently. Perhaps it was finding and reconnecting to something about her past, or perhaps there was something to all of Jongikhaya's talking about being "fated" but the Goddess could find no desire or lust toward Logan within herself.
Ororo opened her eyes quickly. "It appears our contract has expired, Logan. I am not interested in further propositions so let us make this our goodbye."
Storm turned to leave but Logan tried to grab her arm. Sensing this she reflexively moved away from his reach.
"That's it?" He asked incredulously.
"Is there something you wanted to add?"
He reached for her again and, again, she moved out of his reach.
"I been waitin round for you since we got here are now you're dissmissin me like some fresh schoolboy?" There was an edge in his voice. His body betrayed his growing anger as the tip of his claws became visible on his bare knuckles.
Ororo was becoming annoyed herself, and her eyes began to glow white.
"I have said all that needs to be spoken."
"Well I ain't done yet!" Logan snarled.
Ororo's body began to lift into the air. "You are done, Wolverine. You are done because I say so. I care not if it makes you angry, sad, frustrated or any such thing. My body is not yours to exercise any rights to." She summoned her powers to pull him to his knees, stealing his breath until it ran in trickled gasps from his throat. "If I was naked and underneath you withering at your touch and I said we are done- IT. STOPS." The Wakandan sky was grey now with lightening making contact in distant hills.
She heard the strike, and looked over at the mutant who struggled below her. She saw a strange glow about him that seemed to ebb and flow between ragged breaths.
"You have it too? Ngtharabu's mystery..."
Jongikhaya stood in the dreamworld gazing at her in wonder.
Logan began to adapt and recover to shallow breaths. His strength was growing again and he growled as he swung at the air in her direction.
"Now now," Storm chided, "remember that I am
Not one of your conquests- not a bar maid or young girl impressed by your prowess." She moved closer, eyes gleaming and locking her sights on his ki.
"You know who I am," she said manacingly.
"Every thread of ki is connected to a power source. You will know your target when you see the pulsing as his power builds."
Storm squinted her eyes and the ki beat in time to Logan's heart beat. She saw a red thread begin to thicken as the rhythm began to slow.
Logan stared at her and tried to strike, but instead began violently coughing.
"(Cough)... I (cough) ... what did you (cough) do to me?! (Cough)" his knees buckled of their own weight and he fell, bracing his body with one arm as he continued to hack.
Ororo had willed the flow of red ki to become no more than a drip within the man in front of her. He wheezed and gasped as he stared at her with hatred. She knew this encounter would make her another enemy, but she was beyond reproach. Who was any man to lay claim to her?
No, the Goddess exerts will over YOU.
She grounded herself while keeping a sharp eye on his red ki. Walking up to his body as it fought for breath in the dirt, she caressed his cheek. "This is just the start Logan. I have so many more powers to show you as my enemy than as a lover. If you continue thus, I will be only too happy to show you more." She slapped him across the face lightly and then allowed him to breathe again.
His body shuddered as air came flooding back to his lungs and his assailant began to walk away.
"You..!..-"
Storm looked back over her shoulder at him, "bitch." Was all she said and then she took to the skies.
She needed a place to think about what just happened and if she could do it again.
She needed to see T'Challah.
