Finally (A Luke Brooks Fanfiction)

Chapter 3

12th October

5:30am

****Courtneigh's POV****

   I woke up to my alarm ringing through the bedroom. 5:30 am. I groaned and slammed my hand over the speaker on my phone

"More sleep!" I said shoving my head into the pillow that's when I felt my phone vibrating

 

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

 MORNING! Haha. I'll text you a time in a bit okay :) xx '

- 

Just as I was about to reply I got another text

 -

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

Oops. Sorry. I forgot it was early. Sorry if I woke you up :( xx '

 -

'To: Luke

From: Courtneigh

Haha! Its fine I was about to jump in the shower x '

I quickly stripped and ran to my en-suite. I guess that sounds fancy.. Well not really. It was just a dull white room with a basin, shower and loo. It used to be an old walk in closet but hey!

I hopped out of the shower and quickly dried my hair, before throwing it up into a messy pony tail. I pulled out my clean crisp uniform from my wardrobe, I looked over my uniform in the long mirror on my door and fixed my skirt. I applied some eyeliner with a thin amount of foundation.

 I sprayed some perfume on my neck and grabbed my phone from my bedside table. When I checked my phone I had 4 unread messages.

From: Luke

Um, I was thinking about 7:30 to meet yeah:) xx '

 -

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

Omg, babez. Ur so fit have sex wiv mexxxxxxx '

- 

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

Omg, I'm so sorry. That was my brother Beau. Sorry.. :L xx '

 -

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

He scared you off didn't he:( xx '

'To: Luke

HAHAHAHA, OMG. No he didn't. Lol! I just got out of the shower. I'll leave in a sec:) x'

 - 

'To: Courtneigh

From: Luke

Okay, well me and Jai are almost there. Better hurry up ;D xx '

I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder before shoving my phone into my pocket and snatching my iPod from my dresser and shoving the ear buds into my ears.

I clicked up my favourite play list and let it play out. It was 'A Day To Remember's album. 

 While 'My life for hire' played I was headed directly to the place we'd arranged to meet, I casually glanced up and noticed a group of boys from our school donning their messy uniform. One of them looked over at me before motioning towards me, the rest of the group looked over at me and grinned. I ducked my head down and just tried to walk past them quickly. 

I sped up my pace and shoved my hands into my blazer pocket. Just as I walked past the group I heard them erupt into a deafening laughter, it was so loud I'd even heard it over my music. Suddenly I felt something crunch on my back. Not once, not twice, but three times. It felt almost as if some one had thrown eggs at me. Wait a second... 

I lifted my head and saw Luke and Jai heading in my direction. The group disappeared into the park opposite us, all the while mocking me.

 "Courtneigh! Are you okay?" Luke yelled running up to me.

With out even responding to Luke, I raised my hands over my shoulder and felt my back… I had egg all over my blazer, in my hair, on my skirt. I could feel tears threatening to pour down my now bright red cheeks.

 "You um, have egg on you"

"SHE'S NOT STUPID JAI!" Luke yelled.

I felt a hot tear escape my eyes and Luke randomly pulled me in for a hug, not knowing what to do I just burried my face into Luke's broad chest.

"Jai, go meet Skip and James, I'll take Courtneigh to get cleaned up"

Jai nodded, and walked away.

"I can't, I'll be late!" I cried, unable to hold back my tears any longer.

"So let's not go" Luke mumbled into my hair.

Jai had already walked off leaving me and Luke making our way back to my house.

Mum would be at work and Matthew would be at playschool, so nobody should be home. I opened my front door and walked in. Only then realizing how terrible I must've looked, I had black, inky stains running all down my face, my nose was bright red as were my eyes.

Avoiding looking at Luke, I led himto my bedroom and directed him to sit on my bed

"If you want my laptop it's under my pillow. Make yourself comfy. If you want food help yourself." I said grabbing some leggings and a hoody. I went into my ensuite for the second time today...
