I love you like that

LEO
Mikey and I took out all of the guys ourselves.  Fueled by anger, it was a big blur of breaking bones and death.  I wanted them ALL dead.  Mikey, who was a pretty mellow dude, looked like he was also enraged and most of the time he'd hurt the bad guys but not kill them.  This was different.  This was war and we were determined to win and make them all pay.
We were breathing hard and panting when we finished before Shredder walked in.
My energy was renewed and I was ready to kill him.
He only laughed.  "This was only a warning.  Stay out of my business or..."  Mikey and I looked at each other.  "Next time, she dies."

        RAPH
Donnie had Alexis lying on the table in the lab, on her stomach, face turned to the side.  Her breathing was labored.  I have never been so scared in all my life.  Tears just spilled from my eyes as he tended to her injuries.  I sat down in front of her and smoothed her hair down, stroking her face with my big, ugly hand.
Her swollen eye was facing me, so I knew she couldn't see me.
"Leo?"  She whispered, dried blood on her mouth.
"No, baby, it's me, it's Raph."
Her mouth twitched into a small smile.
"Raph, you saved me."  My heart melted.
"Alexis, do you remember how many lashes you took?"  Donnie asked, as he began cleaning one of her cuts.

Alexis seemed to be thinking and then she answered, "50... I think..."

I gritted my teeth and shook my head.  My baby was whipped 50 times.  She began trembling and crying, probably at the memory.

"Keep her quiet," Donnie said, focused on his work.  He was cleaning her wounds and stitching up the gashes that were too big to stay closed.
"Baby girl, don't talk, okay?  Donnie's fixin' you up, you just have to try to relax."
Then her whole body jerked and she yelled out.  Donnie must have hit a nerve.
    "It's okay, it's okay."
Donnie, frustrated, said, "Okay, I have to give her an IV, I just can't do it until I can roll her over.  I need you to hold her down."
"Hold her down? Are you kiddin' me?!"  I said.  "She's in so much pain, I can't-"
"The faster we do this, the quicker she can get the pain meds."
I sighed, "Okay, baby girl, try to relax."  I grabbed her shoulders as gingerly as I could and held her down on the table.  She squirmed faintly and began crying.  I could have been sick right there and then.  Shredder was going to pay for this.

Just then, Leo and Mikey came in.

"Guys, I need help holding her down," Donnie said to them.
Leo looked down at her and I thought he was going to burst into tears.  He just froze.
"LEO!  A little help here!"  Leo snapped out of it and held her down by her hips.
She tried to thrash and get away from the pain, but it was useless.  We were too strong for her on a good day.  Now, we barely had to use any strength at all.
"Hey, Alex, " I started, hoping to distract her. "Remember when we met?"
She started to still a little.
"I rescued you from those foot goons, remember?"  I glanced up at Leo, but he was solely focused on her.  She just cried weakly.  "You saw I got cut by one of their knives and you tore the sleeve off your dress to cover my wound, remember that?"

ALEXIS
Flashbacks from that night.  The men choking me.  Raphael rescuing me.  He got cut and I brought him to my apartment to wash the cut and put a bandaid on it.  Most vivid of all the images were that of his eyes.  They burned into me.  They burn into me.
I used all my strength to say 'yes,' and I'm happy he heard me because I couldn't say it any louder.

RAPH
She finally responded, although barely audible.  "Yes." Then I heard her mumbling something. "You know how they say you got the right thing when nothing else matters, I love you like that, I love you like that, I love you like...". It didn't sound familiar at all to me. Maybe it was a song she wrote for Leo. Did she think I was Leo?
"Remember our first kiss?"  Leo's eyes flashed to me with confusion, but I couldn't give a fuck what he was thinking or how inappropriate it was to talk to your brother's girlfriend this way.  The secret was out now.  I'd deal with him later.  "Do you?  We were standin' on your roof in the rain?"
