Daniel was pretty nervous I could see.

As George led us in and served us tea along with some other snacks, he just wouldn't just stop fidgeting.

"So Dani.. how have  ye been? It's like I haven't seen in like forever.."

George chuckles as he sits right opposite to us.

"Well you didn't actually see me in like forever so yes..."

Dani snorts.

The tension in the room was reaching rocket high.

"Anyways.. yes.. I am fine.. pretty much alive and somewhat happy.. "

George only smiles and nods his head.

I could clearly see the look of frustration in his face.

I turn to Dani who had his eyes affixed somewhere else, outside the window with his arms crossed over his chest.

I am not the best in reading body languages but with what I was seeing, he seemed completely disinterested in the conversation.

I pretend cough hoping to garner the attention of Dani but instead gain the attention of George.

"So Cecilia.. since yer boyfriend wouldn't talk to me.. tell me more about yeself.. I didn't even know that my son was taking out a bird.. a beautiful bird that too.."

He smirks in a somewhat exotic accent and shifts his gaze at me.

If only I could see how bad I was blushing right now.

"There is not much to know about me really..."

I laughed, shyly.

"How did you two meet?"

"At one of our friends place.."

I say.

"Well, I hope he is treating ye good.."

George grins, bringing the cup of tea to his lips.

I chuckle nervously.

"I haven't been with many women before but I can tell ye one thing that-"

Suddenly, Dani cries from his place.

"Oh come on dad, nobody wants to hear about your relationships! We all know how many women you were with! So just shut up!"

I look up at Dani who turned all red and hot.

It was actually his frustration talking.

"Dani.. calm down.."

I try to clutch hold of his hand but he shooes it away.

"No, how do you expect me to calm down when this man didn't even bother checking up on his only son, only child all these years and now suddenly expects me to talk to him normally? Like how can he? How can I, Cecilia?"

I didn't know what to do really.

"Dani.."

"No it's alright Cecilia. Let him take out all his anger n' frustration out on me... I deserve that.. I have been a terrible father, when I could have been a good, or at least a bearable one.. his mother woulda liked that... And I am sorry.. actually very sorry..."

At this point, I only thought of leaving the two alone to clear out their misunderstandings though that seemed highly unlikely.

"I think.. I should leave you two alone for a while.."
